Before Jason’s mom said goodbye in Tahiti, we sat her down, gave her some beers and asked YOUR burning questions. There's WAAAAYYYYYYY more on our website: https://www.gonewiththewynns.com/sundowner-questions-mom We curated the questions from Instagram, Facebook and of course from our Patrons. We really only gave her two rules: Answer honestly and don’t hold back. Your questions ranged from the experience of visiting Curiosity to the fear factor of having kids sailing around the world, to Jason's worst behavior as a kid and even what she thought of me (Nikki) the first time she met me.  So, grab beer and prepare to be surprised...because these are probably NOT the answers you were expecting.   Join the Virtual Crew on Patreon: ⛵ http://bit.ly/join-gwtw Find us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the_wynns/ #GoneWithTheWynns #Sailing #FrenchPolynesia ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below are the questions we hit her with in this vid. From stanky sailing perfume to composting toilets and millionaire trust fund babies, we covered a lot of ground in 20 minutes. Hope you enjoy. 01:34 Are Nikki and Jason still crying because they miss Kate? 02:04 How long did it take you to swim (travel) to Tahiti from Dallas, Texas, USA? 02:54 If you had to name a perfume for sailing across the Pacific Ocean what would it be called? 03:36 Have Jason and Nikki inspired you to live more of your own dreams, or have you inspired them? 03:52 Mom announces she’s buying a class B motorhome and going Van Life in 2019! 04:21 I have never seen Jason angry, does he ever get upset? 05:12 How much do you honestly worry about your kids while traveling and sailing? Where did everyone sleep when you had the whole family on board the catamaran? 07:28 When did you meet Nikki, and did you think their relationship would bloom into this? 08:30 What did they ask you to bring them from the USA? 08:59 When jason was growing up did you see him choosing this traveling-sailing lifestyle? The Wynn’s are such a unique mix of personalities. 10:06 What’s the best way to keep in touch on a day to day basis with your kids traveling across oceans? Sat Phone? Plane Tickets for birthdays? 11:23 What is your workout routine to stay so fit and trim…#JasonsMomIsAMILF 12:01 What is hotter: Texas or the South Pacific? 13:56 WE WANT TO LIVE A SIMILAR LIFESTYLE as Jason and Nikki. As family what helps make their traveling easier on you? What is the hardest part? Any advice for a young couple that can’t wait for their traveling lifestyle but worry about family staying stationary? 15:00 Do you have a signature cocktail you like when on the sailboat? 16:00 Where does Jason get his adventurous spirit from? If there’s one thing about Jason that drives you mad, what is it? 17:18 Jason goes to jail?!? 18:04 Lightning Round • Beard or No Beard on Jason? • Long hair or short on Jason? • How did you like the mattress in your cabin? • Snorkel or SCUBA in Tahiti? • Vacation in Tahiti or Moorea? • Would you prefer to visit us at a National forest (national park) in the RV or a Marine Park on the sailboat? • Better boat drink: Beer or Margarita? 19:01 Out of all the places you traveled to meet up with the Wynns where has been your favorite destination? 19:14 Do you ever get sea sick while sailing on their catamaran? 19:17 Do you have a favorite cabin on the sailboat? 19:22 What’s your favorite meal that Nikki cooks on the sailboat? 19:44 Are you retired or just able to take lots of leave? Did you travel much before Jason and Nikki went adventure seeking around the world? 19:56 I’m starting to believe the Wynn’s are smugglers and their mom is being used as a transport mule, is there any truth to this? 20:06 What was Jason like as a young boy? Did you ever dream he would live on a catamaran sailboat and sail around the world? 20:24 How do you really feel about using a composting toilet? 21:05 Do you miss the RV Geeks? 21:24 ❗The most important question of all…We’ll put the conspiracy theories to rest: You traveled in an RV around North America, now you’re sailing around the world. First finishers in Antigua: Maserati Multi 70 skippered by Giovanni Soldini (ITA) crossed the finish line of the RORC Caribbean 600 at 20:49:00 AST on Tuesday 19 February 2019 in an elapsed time of 1 day, 06 hours 49 minutes and 00 seconds, taking Multihull Line honours and setting a new Multihull Race Record in the 11th edition of the race; beating the previous record by just over one hour. The extraordinary events surrounding the battle for Multihull Line Honours will be remembered for years to come. Just 48 hours before the start of the 2019 RORC Caribbean 600, Jason Carroll's MOD 70 Argo (USA) capsized at high speed in training. It seemed impossible that Argo would be racing, but after a monumental effort by the sailing community in Antigua, Argo's crew and shore team, Argo miraculously made the impossible a reality. The team came in just 7 minutes behind Maserati. © Acquafilms Antigua/RORC

The World Under Sails: In episode 6 you will experience the crossing from Sicily to Sardinia. On the way we stop on the Egadi Islands, which are still very original and with Favignana have a highly interesting, lively center. http://annamera.de Seit sechs Jahren leben wir unseren Traum von einer Weltreise unter Segeln. On the SEALINE F430 you will enjoy even more luxury in a 43-footer motorboat. You have the choice between outdoor living, between the cockpit, the bow lounge and the highlight: the flybridge. Measuring 14 sqaure metres, this holds the class record by some margin. The outdoor grill with wet bar and two refrigerators is always within reach. An optional outdoor galley can also be installed in the cockpit area. The distinctive hull windows characterise the exterior and brighten the interior with natural light. Ample interior volumes allow up to three full double cabins – or two with a master cabin amidships. Fine leather, genuine slate wall panels and furniture finished with piano lacquer add to the sense of total luxury of the Sealine F430. __________________________________________________ Find out more about this yacht at: https://bit.ly/SEALINEF430 __________________________________________________ Subscribe to our channels to get the latest news! This video is about Sailing New Zealand and French Polynesia, Fibreglass Hull Repair, Ep 53, Off the Starboard Hull in a Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran, sailing around the world. A Canadian Couple from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada left from Parksville July 21, 2016 to sail around the world in their Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran. See how they get along, who they meet and where they end up going. They have a 10 year estimated time line, but a very open agenda. On August 4th, 2018, we arrived in Swarrow, a nature reserve with 2 resident rangers in the Cook Islands. Then we went to the island country of Niue (our 2nd favourite place after Maupiti) with unlimited underwater visibility, pristine coral, baby humpback whales, caverns and chasms. Breathtaking! From there, we traveled to Neiafu (with dozens of protected anchorages), Pangai in the Haipai region and Nuku’alofa, all 3 regions in Tonga. Next was Minerva Reef for 20 hours before we embarked on the notorious passage to NZ. Since Nov 12 2018, we have been in Opua New Zealand and are loving the friendly people, the lovely Bay of Islands and the access to materials and shops to do some boat projects.

If you enjoy slow television, or have seen the slow tv boat filmed in Norway you will probably enjoy this. We take our sailboat Delos up a South American jungle river and film an unedited version of the experience. The jungle sounds were recorded live as well for a true experience. If you enjoy this video please check out our playlist at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQp8FoQ4t-lVX0-ilBnaS0CGXH7xmM3Lf or subscribe to our channel at https://youtube.com/svdelos SCENE CHANGE TIMESTAMPS BELOW.... Okay guys, for this one we tried to give a little more behind the scenes representation. As you just watched the edited Passage to Tobago video, here is the more "raw version". Really hope you enjoy and as always looking forward to your comments. Brian For this one we left the GoPro running while we get Delos ready for passage, motor out of the anchorage, set sail, and spend a few hours on passage. I moved the camera to a new fixed position from time to time. The audio was recorded on our Zoom mic in the cockpit, and later in the dinghy when we were filming from the bow. So kick back, throw this up in the background, and get ready to come on passage and chill with us for a bit on the ocean. 00:00 - 16:00 The crew get Delos ready to head to sea. 16:00 - 24:38 Getting the hook up and motoring outside the reef. 24:38 - 34:27 Setting sail with main, mizzen and Genoa. 34:28 - 54:30 Beating upwind. 54:31 - 1:03:47 Switch to cockpit view. 1:03:47 - 1:15:11 Switch to helmsman cockpit view. 1:15:12 - 02:49:00 Time to roll that fattie or hit that space pen and enjoy the ride :) Subscribe to our Sailing Videos, we have 5 seasons worth! https://svdelos.com/youtube-sailing-videos Want to know what cameras and vlog gear we use on Delos? https://svdelos.com/sailing-cameras Please consider supporting The Delos Project! https://svdelos.com/beer

I'm a Canadian photographer from Ottawa who got rid of everything to travel the world. I make vlogs sharing my ups and downs, and my adventures in vans, on motorbikes, and on sailboats. - Who is Champ? Champ is my handsome 14-year-old Labrador, who travelled almost everywhere with me for his whole life. He loves chin scratches, fetching sticks, and scarfing down cheeseburgers and pizza. - What camera equipment do you use? I use a Panasonic FZ2500, a DJI Mavic Pro, a Rode video micro with Deadcat, a Zihyun Crane 3 Axis Gimbal, as well as DIY tripods and lights. - What are your vehicles? I drove a 1992 Dodge Ram B350 camper van all over North America for about two years. Travelling by motorcycle made for some unique trips. I explored the Canadian Maritimes (and deserts and backroads all over the continent) on a 2002 Kawasaki KL250 Super Sherpa dual sport bike, and also rode my 1999 Yamaha V-Star XVS1100 cruiser with a Champion Escort sidecar across my home country twice. From land to water travels: I currently live and work on a 1979 Wharram Oro 47 catamaran. - What are your plans with the boat? I will fix it up, run it on nothing but green electric power, and sail off into the sunset. Stay tuned for the growing build and the adventures to come! - How do you find all these cool places we see in the videos? To gain access to my complete research and the world traveller’s map I curate during my explorations off the beaten path, you need to hit me up on Patreon. Here are a few websites I frequent: https://freecampsites.net/, https://www.campendium.com/, http://www.atlasobscura.com/, https://www.couchsurfing.com/ - How do you afford your lifestyle? I live and travel economical by using free camping and mooring, cooking my own meals, thoroughly researching products and how-to’s online, practicing a DIY approach, and being as efficient as possible with my resources. I've struggled financially for most of my life, and although I'm blessed with helpful friends and family as well as being able-bodied, white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to pursue your passion. So, I learned that you DO need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, and a traditional career but that it IS possible, worth it, and the only lifestyle that makes me happy. I make my income almost entirely by creating content for YouTube, but it's a tight budget. Ad revenue, business sponsors, affiliate links, Patreon, Paypal donations, and merchandise sales bring in about as much as a part-time job, and I'm able to make that work. When it isn't enough, I go back to regular work such as photography, videography or construction, but that takes the focus away from my own projects. - How does your dog fit into this lifestyle? It's really not as difficult as people seem to think. I spend most of the day with Champ anyways, since we enjoy similar things, like eating food and being outdoors. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make decisions about where I go and what I do, so I avoid places that ban dogs, and therefore spend more time in nature instead of in cities. - How do you make it work as a digital nomad? My electrical power set-up allows charging my camera and laptop to film and edit almost daily. For Internet access quick and reliable enough to upload my episodes a few at a time, I use coffee shops and libraries. I also use a data package on my phone (10GB), a WiFi antenna, and a WiFi booster.

This week's episode brings us back to the harbor of Angra where we visit the immigration office to see if we can extend our 90 day visa to 12 months. Since we haven't been finding the winds we need to get north we thought, why not winter here? That weekend we travel around the island of Terceira to the port of Praia Da Vitoria where they were holding their annual festival of foods, where restaurants and shops from all over Portugal come to showcase their specialties. We try a few local treats and even get to hang out with our local friend Carlos. Just another perfect week in the Azores! Much love from the Azores! This is how we spent the summer! We wanted to ease the boys into living aboard, but also to spend time with friends and family. And we had a lot of small things to fix or improve for our world tour. We cover it all here in just four minutes, which was hard to do! My Dad worked his tail off for 30 years and when he retired from the Ford Motor Company they decided to buy a "retirement home" in Cape Cod. We're very lucky to have a such place to crash, and the boys loved their time with their grandparents while Elizabeth worked on Vacay (her company) and I prepped the boat. We had fun too, so don't feel all that bad for us! Elizabeth's company is called Vacay and can be found at www.VacayStyle.com Check it out! ABOUT SETH & ELIZABETH: We started the very first sailing VLOG back in 2009 - before there were "VLOGS," GoPros, Drones and iPhones! I'll be honest, they were terrible videos, but we've had ~2.5 million views and we thank you for watching! Now we're going sailing again, but this time with our three boys. We're not trying to be internet-famous, but we want to create memories our children will remember and if you want to come along, then great! We hope you enjoy our adventure as much as we hope to do ourselves. We're departing Cape Cod in September of 2018 and will follow a similar route to the Caribbean and beyond. Thanks for watching!!! We sail to one of our favorite destinations yet, a quaint little island called Bequia that is part of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. We do plenty of exploring, diving, and just really enjoying the island vibe! Become a Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/WEsail
