Here is my first ride this winter in the woods near from my home. Frozen soil and cold weather made the passage on water spots easier, but I got to be careful... some passages were too crazy and I kept a really slow speed. This run is a little bit more than 2 km long. I was not longer able to ride in the field! Filmed with a Gopro Hero8 Black - 2.7K 30fps

Was this the most stupid or awesome thing we’ve ever done? We can’t decide. On a 1200 Mile sailing passage from Tahiti to Niue, the weather swings and we have a tricky decision to make. We choose to divert our course to a remote atoll to the extreme West of French Polynesia. Maupihaa, otherwise known as Mopelia seems like a god place to hang out and wait for our weather window. The entrance to the island is a narrow and intimidating pass with a strong current. We have no way of accessing the tide information so just have to chance it and hope the current isn’t too strong to overpower us. Scary stuff, guys.  Diving on the anchor, we are visited by a shark, barracuda and eagle ray which tells us we’re probably going to like it here. Yup, we’re in for a treat. Between exploring the empty beaches and freediving the pass we are gobsmacked by the incredible nature this untouched island has to offer. Pumpkin Puree Fresh and Simple, that is inexpensive to make, great for breads and cakes! Recipe Link: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/simple-pumpkin-puree/ Pumpkin Puree is something we have been making for years but it only comes around for a few months during the year. We use it to make our delicious Pumpkin Bread, Cakes and Cupcakes all through the Fall and Winter months! Most pumpkins will not make the Pumpkin pie puree that you desire in a pie because it is a bit stringy. But the pumpkin puree that comes from these types of pumpkins are (in my family's opinion) the best for breads and cakes! We like to call the strings of pumpkin in the puree MOIST makers! There is something that happens in the baking process that makes the MOIST makers (little strings in the pumpkin puree) soak up in the bread or cake and adds so much flavor and softness!  Check out our shop on our website for branded gear: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/our_shop/ Support us by shopping through our Amazon link, cost nothing to you and really helps us out. https://amzn.to/351krTR You Can Also Follow Us On: https://www.facebook.com/ChrisDoesWhat/ https://www.instagram.com/chrisdoeswhat/ https://www.instagram.com/dininginwithdanielle/ https://www.pinterest.com/ChrisDanielleRedding/ Before doing anything related to things we do, here is the Legal Stuff: Disclaimer: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/disclaimer/ Privacy Policy: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/privacy-policy/ Terms Of Use: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/terms-of-use/ You can also follow us on our blog: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/ Or go directly to cooking: https://www.dininginwithdanielle.com If you have a request, please see our blog and go to contact. https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/contact-us/ Video & Blog Productions: Florida Landscapes Explore Florida Recipes with Danielle DIY and HowTo Reviews Boat Restore Playlist: https://youtu.be/AWXqtJuseII Explore Florida Playlist: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/y_explore_florida Jeep Mods Playlist: https://youtu.be/9EwWEwSmZm0 Recipes Playlist: https://youtu.be/rO7LOGQ1Dgg Equipment: All videos are edited with Sony VEGAS Pro https://amzn.to/2GrzE77 Our video studio does have a green screen with umbrella lighting https://amzn.to/2BVIlpq All recording equipment is Sony and our main camera is the HDR-CX675 offering servo steadied filming and 5.1 sound. https://amzn.to/2BlJxQb Affiliate Links: - Shop Amazon at no cost to you, and helps our channel: https://amzn.to/2SMfsjS - Best Blog Hosting: https://www.bluehost.com/?utm_source=www.chrisdoeswhat.com&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=affiliate-link_chrisdoeswhat_notype #ChrisDoesWhat #DiningInWithDanielle #HoMaidChef

The night sail from West End to the Florida coast was absolutely beautiful! We arrived to the Florida coast at dawn on May 16th, 2017. We slowly made our way to a familiar anchorage at West Palm Beach where we knew there was good holding and enough space for us to be out of the way of other boats passing by. Now that we are back to reality we need to figure out how to get Turtle sold in a timely manner before hurricane season begins. How to do the Simplest Man Overboard (MOB) Recovery Procedure. There are several methods to recover a crew who has fallen overboard. In this episode we cover the simplest method we know: putting a boat into 360 degree turns while the skipper sorts things out. We use the traditional and widely accepted term of Man Overboard (rather than alternatives such as Crew Overboard), regardless of sex. A critical part of this method is pulling in the mainsheet. Read on. If you would like added benefits such as a live chat session each month with James and the crew, plus free swag, consider becoming a Patron. We would greatly appreciate it! Link is here: https://www.patreon.com/sailingvirgins The initial response to someone falling overboard is common to all MOB recoveries (0:51): 1. Point at the casualty - keep pointing until they are back on the boat; 2. Yell "Man Overboard!"; 3. Throw a flotation device such as a horseshoe or a Danbuoy; 4. Potentially make a Mayday call; 5. Press the MOB button on the plotter. Here is the recovery procedure covered in this episode shown at 1:35: 1. Sail two boatlengths. This usually equates to a 2-3 deep breaths; 2. Turn the boat into the wind. Keep the boat on this hard lock; 3. Immediately pull in the main sheet when you are into the wind. That's it. Sailing two boatlengths will ensure the boat doesn't run over the casualty. Turning the boat into the wind (crash tack and holding that turn) means the boat will do 360s. Pulling in the mainsheet is essential, as this ensures the gybes are controlled. We then bring the boat so it is two boatlengths upwind of the casualty, and with some reverse cancelling out the forward of the (now stalling) mainsheet, we aim to pick the casualty up from the shrouds. In our example Beverley is not wearing a deckvest when she picks up the casualty. She should be. That's our fault (not Beverley's). We still thought this is worth showing. The rest of the episode has us climbing Petit Piton on the beautifully verdant island of St Lucia. We pass this island during one of our Island Adventures. We always love St Lucia. If you'd like to work on your passage planning with us on an ASA certified sailing course, check out our courses in the BVI, Croatia and Tahiti here: https://sailingvirgins.com/courses/ Video cred: Thanks Forrest Ladkin you legendary filmer/editor, and thanks to the wonderful and always gorgeous Celine for the transitions/titles. We dive in to clean the hull, in preparation for our sail to Key West. Hope you enjoy! In order to sell our mast we needed to take all the winches off of it and we decided to give maintenance to all our winches. But we did it WRONG!! If you are new here... we are a Brazilian couple that have just bought a 44ft hot galvanized steel sailboat (Dinieper Tropic 1200) and is on the mission of bringing her back to life after 22 years abandoned on the hard. Once we are done, the plan is to sail her to our home town Florianópolis so we can finish building our land base, a Tiny Shipping Container House that we are building ourselves without any prior experience. Our head sail has three rips in it! This is the process of getting a new head sail. We've done so much work with engines, fiberglass and basic boat construction, that we've spent relatively little time improving our rig and sails. Our jib has deteriorated to the point to where we were forced to start looking into a replacement. This is when we found with Precision Sails. They're an "remote" sailmaker which works well with our on the move lifestyle. They've made the process of figuring out exactly how to acquire a new sail less daunting. We're happy to be working with them on this sail. Also, they are having a Black Friday sale. Link is below! https://www.precisionsailloft.com/ The Black Friday Sale (Save up to 40% on new sails) will be running from the 25-29th of November, but they strongly suggest people get quotes early so they have time to think about the options. Season 5 Episode 97: Good bye Washington hello Oregon On this weeks episode we depart La Push and hand steer for 13 hours to the notorious Columbia Bar and finally into Astoria, Oregon! GOONIES NEVER SAY DIE Our electrical problems seemed to be the governor on the Generator, which we didn't fix but managed to work out a sketchy system of drawing down the power as it produced too much then slowly turning things off as it dropped.... we did this for 7 more days. Once in Astoria we spent the night and first thing the next morning we spent hours on the phone with the Garmin Tech and he got our autopilot all worked out!!!!!! Then we went exploring Astoria! If this is the first Yacht Delivery Chronicles video you have seen heres a little bit of background of what this Season and miniseries is all about. This new season follows James and Camille on a delivery onboard a 74ft Power Yacht they were hired to crew on under then command of Captain Dave Stovall. The delivery which was planned for 9 days took 16 days due to failing boat systems and rough spring weather on the coast of the Pacific Northwest. Stay tuned for life on the hard stand as we scored the deal of the century, but oh boy does she need some work. Sage is 21 and has lived on his dads boat for 10 years and has salt running through veins and a very enthusiastic way of being. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it. Much love Carla and Simon

It was supposed to be a heavyweight bout between Chris Bake’s Team Aqua and Vladimir Prosikhin’s Team Nika. These two, among the oldest, most successful teams in the high performance one design monohull class, started the 44Cup Palma, the final event of the season, separated by just one point at the top of the 2019 44Cup leaderboard. Behind them Igor Lah’s Team CEEREF went into the 44Cup Palma five points off the lead with Aleph Racing of Hugues Lepic a further point behind. However this non-discardable final event of the season was to prove surprisingly dire for both the leaders who, against all expectation, began today’s final day of racing in last place. Meanwhile, two other teams were excelling – Nico Poons’ Charisma, the 2018 defending 44Cup champion, and Igor Lah’s Team CEEREF, winner in 2016-17.
