Our move didn't go exactly as planned. We finally got a hold of Ramon(our dock maintenance guy) but his communication lacks a bit. Ok, maybe more than a bit and we're a little bum that we didn't get to film our bit for it but none the less, we're moved to the dock we want to be on. As they say "beggars can't be choosers" and we're just thankful for the help! Now that we're next to our new friend "Ken" he's given us some good advice. The first thing was "stop killing yourselves trying to sand down the entire boat at once. Compartmentalize and do it in sections or you're going to go crazy!" We, like maybe some of you are saying "how much sanding can we really do/want to watch in this multihull?! Well, we decided to sand down the port side completely and start there! We should be ready for paint after a couple spots that need to be done by hand and some good cleaning since everything is now covered in dust! Getting Brittany to help in the tight areas is like pulling teeth.....or staples. Lol. She did however setup a xmas tree so that we could get out our yearly epic holiday card out in time. In this episode, we settle into daily life aboard with a schedule of school, boat work and fishing. We celebrate Adler’s 6th birthday with two great adventures (we try to give experiences rather than gifts like toys). We went fossil hunting on the Peace river and we went on a fishing trip in the canal between Estero Island and the reserve (thanks to Grandma Kathy for this one!) Fossil Hunting We went fossil hunting with Fred Mazza at Paleo Discoveries. We paddled up the Peace river in canoes and spent hours digging in the river bed for fossils. Gabby found a megaladon tooth and we found many more fossils including shark teeth, sting ray teeth, turtle shell bones and more! We had a great time. https://fossilhuntingtours.com/ Fishing Trip We went on a fishing trip in the canal between Estero Island and the Estero Bay Preserve State Park. Ryan from Goodtime Charters was a great captain. We spent time fishing and were lucky enough to have several dolphins play in our wake! https://goodtimecharters.com/ Standing Rigging We had our rigging done by Anthony at Onboard Rigging. He was good to work with, friendly and worked with us on the price. Very good value for the quality of workmanship and the rigging itself. This was a done over the course of a couple of weeks. We didn't get a lot of usable footage of it (still new to this)! https://onboardrigging.com/

Fractional Yacht Share THE BEST YACHT SHARE OWNERSHIP PROGRAM AVAILABLE Simple: With a one-time investment, you’ll be the proud owner of a 1/7 share in a new luxury catamaran. After 6 or 7 years, the yacht is sold and a substantial portion of the investment is returned to each shareholder. That’s it. Convenient: No insurance fees, no maintenance fees, none of the usual hassles of ownership. No need to worry about upkeep. Use the yacht once a year. No need to try to account for multiple weeks. When it’s time to sell, all you do is collect a substantial amount of your initial investment. Affordable: If you like to charter, then this syndicated program makes financial sense. If your initial investment is 135k, expect up to 100k back! That would be 7 weeks of crewed charters for 35k (normally 1 week would cost you +25k).

#amalficoast #pompeii #sailingitaly Sailing from the Aeolian Islands of Vulcano and Stromboli we head north to the Amalfi Coast of Italy - one of the most beautiful coastlines in Europe... and hopefully you'll see why. We try the street food of Amalfi Town (pizza and ice-cream obviously!) and visit a paper making museum. We then sail on towards the island of Capri, crowded with Super Yachts and dripping with ostentatious wealthy and expensive shops! Next we take a sail to Naples, but find the moorings too expensive so anchor in a dodgy part of town before taking a train to Herculaneum (Pompeii's sister town) to see what became of the population when Vesuvius erupted in 79AD - we didn't expect to find actual skeletons.. but we did! We FOUND HIM! He helped save our sinking boat | 85 | Beau and Brandy Sailing After weeks of searching we FOUND him! The fisherman that help save our boat from sinking. We are so thankful and we wanted to be able to give him a big thank you. In the past months we seem to have everything building up. Things keep happening that its hard to keep our spirits up. BUT we work had to look at the positive and not the negative, because this is the lifestyle that we really do love. So we take a break and go diving with our friends to lighten the mood and help with our positive outlooks. After help from our friends we get the dinghy motor back to working order and we set out to look for the fisherman that answered our Mayday when we found the crack in our hull on the way to Grenada. In this episode we arrive in Chicago. There is much to see, the city is amazing. We walked the Navy pier and had some thrills there. We paid a visit to the Chicago Board of Trade building and discovered a secret Vault in the basement. Chicago is bigger then we thought. It was a lot of fun in the summer.

#welovethesea #welovesailimng SAN Blas is beautiful, sandy beaches, Palm trees and clear water. It’s definitely on the top list of the best places we have been. We spend two days in SAN Blas before we go to Panama to buy the cruising permit and do the check in. On the way to Panama we go on a convoy with Sailing Seatramp and SV Notorious. Due to the latest safety problems in Panama it’s better to be safe than sorry. We arrive safely in Linton Bay Marina. Hey guys Patreon has a new STRUCTURE, come along and have a look! Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it. Much love Carla and Simon

If you haven’t already caught on, we are huge dreamers but also careful planners. This makes for an interesting mix of making huge decisions, but going through a lot of iterations along the way. The boat show prompted a huge change in plans for us, and it's something that is really going to uproot our lives in Atlanta.
