**NOW SOLD ** Rampant is a Farr 10.5 that is now listed exclusively for sale with YOTI Pittwater. Bruce Farr intended here to create an economical, safe and fast Racer / Cruiser that was easy to handle with a modern sail plan. Rampant was first launched in 1985 and is a cold moulded timber hull with fibreglass deck. The impressive build quality of Rampant is easily seen when stepping down below. In 2007 the yacht enjoyed a major refurbishment which included new toe rails, new stanchions, sea rails, new windows, deck re glassed & new deck grip, stern cut out & new rudder designed and fitted to allow stern access, repainted & sign written. Further to this the 21 hp Nanni diesel which is still under warranty was installed new in just 2019 and has logged only around 20 hours. The sail plan and rig are fractional with single swept back spreaders, no running backstays. This set up is modern, efficient and simple to handle. The sail wardrobe is large. Instruments are by Raymarine and include autopilot and chart plotter. Space below deck is refreshingly welcoming for what was intended primarily as a racer. There is a spacious saloon with settee berths with lee cloths, a drop down saloon table, the practical galley sits to port and nav station with internal ice box to starboard. A large V berth is forward which accommodates the sail wardrobe if needed plus a marine head is fitted which can be shut off from the saloon with a door. There are two quarter berths. This is a seriously well crafted yacht which will appeal to those wanting a little old school real yacht quality and style while keeping the ability to sail fast and easy. The yachts previous race results proudly displayed on her saloon bulkhead tell a very impressive story. The Hanse group is simply going from strength to strength and locally in Australia the brand benefits from the largest brand specific service department in the country offered by national dealers Team Windcraft.  Sail La Vie is only the third Hanse 315 to be ever offered for sale on the Australian brokerage market and this is the best specified and fitted out example offered to date. Back to back weekends at the Isthmus, Two Harbors, Catalina Island. Eddie joins in as crew. We encounter light winds but have a pleasant motor. Winds increase for mooring pickup. Captain Keeldragger learns how to start an dinghy outboard motor. Buffalo Milk is served at the bar.. he have a beer or three and hike back to Catalina Harbor as well as hike towards Fourth of July and Cherry Cove. And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. Alle 9.45 ora locale (13.45 UTC, 14.45 ora italiana) Maserati Multi 70 e i suoi due concorrenti, Argo e Shockwave, hanno tagliato la starting line al largo di Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten, con vento tra i 20-25 nodi da Est-Nord-Est e raffiche fino a 30 nodi. Poco dopo la partenza, il 63 piedi Shockwave ha avuto un problema al boma che ha costretto l’equipaggio a ritirarsi, lasciando i due 70 piedi a contendersi il primo posto. Il percorso della prova, di circa 38 miglia, prevedeva il giro antiorario dell’isola fino al largo di Basse-Terre, da cui i trimarani hanno fatto rotta verso Nord attraversando il canale di Anguilla fino a Blowing Rock, per poi dirigersi verso il traguardo al largo di Gran Case, nella parte francese dell’isola. In this episode, we say Goodbye to Canada and our magical summer adventure. It’s time to make some miles and when you choose to travel as far and as often as we do, the consequence is that we must keep moving. It’s already past mid September and as sailors we are bound to the cycle of the seasons. Given this, we decide to sail past Provincetown RI and transit the Cape Cod Canal before taking a night of rest and moving on. Desde que saímos do Brasil o Reveillon no Basil's Bar era um marco. Eu não sabia muito o que esperar, mas sabia que era imperdível. Minha expectativas não eram lá muito altas porque eu achei que o lugar era bem turístico e que poderia ser meio "mico". Chegamos na ilha à noite e vimos iluminação que pareciam de pequenas usinas, ou plataformas, ou transatlânticos. Mas não, era mega yatchs de ricaços ou de charter para pessoas dispostas (leia-se ricas) a pagar 35, 40 mil dólares a semana para estarem ali. O mais engraçado era que partilhávamos todos a mesma ancoragem, o mesmo lugar e o mesmo bar. A festa foi uma delícia, o Reveillon uma farra! Fizemos uma festinha no Sara Kali antes, com ceia e tudo, depois caímos na balada. A música estava ótima, a alegria das pessoas maravilhosa e o nosso tor alcoólico então... fazia tudo ficar absolutamente mais divertido! Depois de morrermos na manhã seguinte, arrastamos nossos corpos moribundos para ver um pouco da ilha. E gostamos tanto do Basil's Bar que acabamos ficando mais um pouco. Foi uma parada deliciosa e um acerto na escolha do nosso Reveillon.
