Porsche 3.2 Carrera Engine Installation - Porsche Carrera Rebuild #PorscheRebuild #PorscheRestoration #Picoscope Engine diagnostics, Automotive oscilloscope, Picoscope 2204a, Porsche engine build, Porsche Carrera Engine removal Hi Everyone, I wasn't happy with all the testing we did a couple videos back and after several comments, I decided to do a bit of research on how to get better results than what a Volt-Ohm meter can provide. I came across a channel called Mechanic Mindset and reached out to Darren and got a bunch of great info on the PicoScope 2204a. Check out his channel here for lots of tips and tricks: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mechanic+mindset In the video, we check the position and speed sensors, the airflow meter, run a virtual compression test, take a look at the ignition patterns and finally get a yes or no on that original black coil. Let me know your thoughts on the Pico and some of the data I got. We even found one big surprise! The bronze floors are done! It's a great feeling complete them and be able to move on to even more tasks that get us closer to launch. Steve keeps on with fitting the main's mast step, and Alix gets to work on figuring out the reuse of Victoria's spars. You may remember from previous videos, just a couple years into the project, that Steve and Alix purchased another Atkin-designed boat, Victoria. She was in rough shape and there wasn't any interest out there to restore her. It was most likely that she was going to get stripped of her parts, which would have been parceled out to the highest bidders before she got cut up—a practical-but-sad end to a beautiful and storied boat. Instead, we brought her to Granby, MA, where we carefully dismantled her with intentions of reusing as much of her materials as possible as we build Arabella. Now comes one of the big moments in that process: her solid fir mast will likely become Arabella's mizzen (the aft, shorter mast) but first, Alix needs to strip its parts, make sure the material is sound, and then reshape it to the correct size. We hope you enjoy this week's video. Thank you so much for following our journey and for your support. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sign up for our email newsletter: http://eepurl.com/hn3Qyv Acorn to Arabella is a boat building project taking place in Granby, Massachusetts. Steve and Alix started as amateur boat builders building their own 38' wooden boat in their backyard: designer William Atkin's Ingrid with a Stormy Petrel's gaff rig. These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and beyond—sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project will continue well past launch, when they will travel and learn to cruise aboard the boat that they've built. Just kidding about all that, this channel is about a Siberian Laika named Akiva. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are interested in supporting/helping here are a few ways: Acorn to Arabella wishlist: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/wishlistpriority Jamestown Distributors Referral If you are going to shop at Jamestown Distributors, please consider using our Total Boat referral code: http://totalboat.refr.cc/steveandalixa?t=tg Recurring support via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/acorntoarabella Original Soundtrack available at benfundis.bandcamp.com FOLLOW US: Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/acorntoarabella Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/acorntoarabella/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/acorntoarabella Website: http://www.acorntoarabella.com

Rob had changed the accumulator tank but the pump that fills the tank was sounding a bit iffy. Leave it and face the consequences or exchange it out? Rob chooses the later. That's just one of the preventative maintenance measures in this episode. Rob also scoops out the Noosa bar for the outward crossing and we treat ourselves to the most expensive milk we can find for its health benefits down the track. Music Luna Keller - I don't know where I'm going Patience stripped version - Brooke Annibale - musicbed.com Patience stripped version instrumental - Brooke Annibale - musicbed.com David Mumford - Ball and chain WHO ARE WE? In 1997, after missing out on his Olympic rowing medal dream, Rob decided to row a tiny seven-metre plywood boat, 2500 miles from Tenerife in the Canary Islands to Barbados in the Caribbean. It took 6 weeks and he and his rowing partner, Phil Stubbs, won the inaugural Atlantic Rowing Race. His first taste of a blue water ocean crossing. Skip forward to 2014, and married with three children we invested in Javelot a 43 ft Fountaine Pajot catamaran. Armed only with Robert's 3 years of racing P class yachts from the age of 11 to 13, and Rachel's non existent sailing knowledge, we set off to learn the ropes of ocean sailing. We broke stuff, replaced stuff and got to know our boat before heading offshore with the kids, Finn 18, Declan 16 and Ivan 13, in tow. Through trial and error, we have become confident wayfarers, kind of. Our plan? To sail around the world. Part of the journey will be retracing Rob’s eldest brother Kerry’s travels at sea. Using Kerry’s original letters from the 1970’s we will re trace his movements from Australia through Indonesia and South East Asia to Cambodia where Kerry’s life was cut short after straying into Cambodian waters in 1978. Kerry and two friends were attacked by a Khmer Rouge gun boat, captured, tortured and executed. ***** Follow us in real time on Instagram and Facebook @thecruisingkiwis @finn_hamill @declan_hamill #NeverStopWanderingNeverStopWondering. #TheCruisingKiwis

Series of videos which covers removing the rig to replace the standing rigging and service all the rig systems, plus some other winter maintenance aspects. This Part 3 covers removal of vang and goose-neck mast fittings; servicing winches; dismantling the spreaders; changing the cutlass bearing in the P-bracket; removing a leaking Whisperpower heat-exchanger; refurbishing the Sailor 250 Fleetbroadband and winterizing the engines ready for winter. This extensive boat maintenance took place due to Covid pandemic which on a negative note caused us to defer our next leg of the circumnavigation until autumn 2021, but on a positive note gave us this opportunity to get Cloudy Bay’s systems in top shape before we cruise more remote parts of the world.

Boat life definitely has its highs and lows, and this was as typical of a boat day as it gets! For us, it meant starting the day having the most wonderful breakfast at the pontoon restaurant in front of your boat before acquiring some dive gear we were excited to try, until boat life hit us like a frying pan in the face :) But if there’s one thing I got from 2020, it is that because we felt such a sense of loss of the beautiful life we made for ourselves, that I grew a lot more tolerant to the “frying pan hits”. I’ll take all the breakage in the world, as long as we get to enjoy the sunsets! :) Also people… have dinghy chaps made ;) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** JOIN THE CREW! ** Join our virtual crew of Patrons at: https://www.patreon.com/ryanandsophiesailing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ** MUSIC ** 🎶 In this video: Gavin Luke - Fun under the Sun (Epidemic Sound) Stefan Netsman - Sun records 7 (Epidemic Sound) Håkan Eriksson - Cape Verdean Sun 3 (Epidemic Sound) Martin Carlberg - Closer than two of a kind (Epidemic Sound) Martin Carlberg - Box full of toys (Epidemic Sound) Stefan Netsman - Guitar Stories 2 (Epidemic Sound) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ** GEAR ** ⛵️Our boat: Polar Seal, 2007 Beneteau Oceanis 40, owners version (2 cabins layout). On that first video you are introduced to the participants in the survey and are given the full context. We bring you real life footage from the docks, different marinas, and you can familiarize yourself with what goes on during this important part of the purchasing process. We also have the expert commentary of Mike Auton, our sales broker in St Petersburg, Florida. This week we installed 3 extra solar panels. This time we installed them in Parallel and now we can compare how they perform and how our other 3 solar panels that are connected in series perform. Now we have a total of 600w in solar panels and they are working pretty well while we are in the marina. We can't wait to start using them while anchoring in a great beach somewhere. This video shows how we installed a capacitor on our amplifier, how much amplifier capacitor you need what not to do with a capacitor. The sparks are real, and if you don't be careful installing a capacitor on an amplifier in your vehicle, you can get really hurt! Putting a capacitor in your car is a no-brainer if you have high amperage amps that need a lot of power quickly. The C rate, even of large capacity batteries is very low, and he the bass goes up, the power output for them deep lows may not be there. You could put in another battery to spread the load and double your C rate, but the cost would be higher and Capacitor will last a long time, probably longer than your car. Benefits Of Capacitor: More stable current to the audio amplifier Help with hard-hitting bass Help amplifier run more efficient Reduce load on the battery from surges of power Reduce headlight dimming Cleaner audio to speakers improving life Capacitor Will Not Help: Fix a battery the needs to be replaced Overcome a poor car charging system Make your audio louder Build Subwoofer Box For Skar SVR 10 || Jeep Mods E30: https://youtu.be/-qHFqdbPiTY How To Install Dash Speakers, Review Skar 4x6 || Jeep Mods E33: https://youtu.be/6zxT3KSCU4s Playlist For Stereo & Subwoofer Projects, Quest For Good Sound! : https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9vNnMj1ZmcaQ2Zs4JA5TauFdrrnByqki Tools And Parts: SoundBox 0 Gauge Amp Kit Amplifier Install Wiring & 2.5 Farad Digital Capacitor, 5500W: https://amzn.to/3qi1ohC Milwaukee 18-Volt Drill and Impact Driver Kit: https://amzn.to/366BwxM Husky Mechanics Tool Set: https://amzn.to/3kuGUzD SoundBox Combined Amp Kit General Features: SoundBox Combined Amp Kit & Capacitor Package Give Your System the Wires It Needs and the Capacitor It Wants SoundBox 2.5 Farad Digital Capacitor SoundBox 0 Gauge Complete Install Kit Authorized Internet Dealer 1 Year Manufacture's Warranty Item Specification - Capacitor 2.5 Farad Digital Capacitor 2500 Watts Peak Power Rating Digital Display Readout 00:00 How To Install A Capacitor On Your Amplifier And What Not To Do Intro 01:09 Taking The Capacitor For Our Amplifier Out Of The Box 02:40 How To Wire A Amplifier Capacitor In Your Car 04:34 How To Charge A Capacitor And What I Did Wrong 05:42 Putting A Load OnA Capacitor With 2,100 WATTs 06:59 Our Thoughts On Installing A Capacitor And The Requirments 07:41 10-inch Subwoofer Shakes Pictures Of Walls With 2,100 Watts 10:12 Shock with 2.5 Fared Capacitor 11:10 How To Install A Capacitor On Your Amplifier And What Not To Do Bloopers And Outtakes Check out our shop on our website for branded gear: https://www.chrisdoeswhat.com/our_shop/ Support us by shopping through our Affiliate Links! Welcome to our DIY solar power upgrade for our boat. This video IS NOT a 'how to' video and is intended for entertainment for anyone who followers our adventure as we leave the reality of life in a brickks and mortar house, along with our 9-5 jobs, and attempt to build a more self sufficient life, full of adventure and exploration. We don't have any electrical installation experience at all, and so deciding to brave a DIY solar system upgrade for our boat took a little bit of nerve, but we were also really lucky in that we found a company that essentially spoke to us over the phone and then put everything we'd need together in an all in one package, with super digestible instructions that even a simpleton like me could follow. Here is a list of ALL the links in the video that I think you'll find useful, if you're thinking about doing something similar. First and most importantly Sun Store (Curtis is the owner of SunStore and a true gent with his time and help, he remained polite each and EVERY time I called to say I was stuck 😬 https://www.sunstore.co.uk/ The solar panel mounting brackets from Force 4 Chandlery (it's just where we happened to buy them, by all means shop around). https://tinyurl.com/2t8z8pn Sea Screw (this is such a useful shop that we discovered through someone else channel initially, although I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I can't remember who's, as we binged watch so many other amazing creators, but here's the site: https://tinyurl.com/42apx6ts Let's not forget Carly's up-cycling sail boat rope to dog lead and solar shop. Everything in here is made with her fair hands: https://www.cadoha.com/etsy-shop If you'd like to support our film making efforts directly or join our Patreon Post club then be sure to check both options out here, 100% of any many made here goes to buying safety equipment that would otherwise be beyond our reach, by that I mean rather than the most basic life raft available, with Patreon support we can go one step further and get perhaps a self righting life raft, making life much easier for Carly in the event of an emergency whilst I look after Hank in an upside down life raft. https://www.patreon.com/sailingcadoha Also be sure to check out Carlys amazing efforts on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/sailingcadoha/?hl=en And even Hank is getting in on the instagram action, although he has a very long way to catch Carly up: https://www.instagram.com/vizsla.hank/?hl=en We hope you're all keeping safe and well, and here's to something approaching normal being bad with us all again sometime soon 🙏🏻🙏🏻⛵️⛵️⛵️

We are starting the interior refit of our 1996 Fountain Pajot Sailing Catamaran Venezia 42! The sailboat is an older girl but she is a proven model to cross oceans and take us anywhere we want to go! We are excited to completely redesign the interior to make this Catamaran Sailboat a one of a kind! We plan to increase our storage space and make her the perfect liveaboard sailboat! Check out the new channel Spearfishing Nomad https://youtu.be/Bu4boWa_H0g The champion Margarida gets us conch and hogfish for dinner. I give a lesson on how to sail southern Cuba. We don't make our destination of Cayo Largo but end up at Cayo Rico with a careful sail through the shallows, dodging sandbanks and shoals and reefs. The barrier reef gives us protection from the main swell and Margarida finally has a sail without getting seasick. We arrive at Cayo Rico and it is awesome. WINDsurfing and WATER collecting - SAILBOAT LIFE EP82 This week we have fun learning to windsurf in the shallows of Ailuk lagoon. We are Jo and Rob and we are here to share our sailing adventures with you. In 2016, inspired by the likes of ‘Delos’, ‘Sailing La Vagabonde’ and ‘Gone with The Wynns’, we sold up everything we owned and bought our 40ft, Fountaine Pajot ‘Lipari 41 Evo’ sailing catamaran ‘Double Trouble’. We had no sailing experience whatsoever, so the past few years have been a huge learning curve. We thought it might be fun to document our travels for anyone thinking of following a similar lifestyle. So far we have visited 7 different countries and sailed over 13,000 nautical miles. We have had many unique experiences that would not have been possible in our prior life and we don’t regret a second. We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment, so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. You wont find any fishing footage on this channel! Before buying the boat, you'll want to ask yourself some hard questions: - "Am I willing to give up the conveniences and space I've grown used to?" - - "Am I willing and able to ask my body to perform strenuous activities - in extremely hot and humid places!?" - - "Am I willing to pay a lot of money to live a challenging, often primitive, lifestyle?" - If the answer is YES ~ let's go baby!! 1(678)699-8748 Get in touch with Brian and Carrie to charter their boat and find out for yourself if a boat life adventure is worth the sacrifice. ____________________________________ Join the Crew for MORE ↯ [https://www.patreon.com/bumsonaboat?fan_landing=true] ♡ Show Us Some Love ♡ – Don't Skip Ads 🙃 -- it's free & really helps out – Shop our Merch 👕 -- Get cool adventure gear! https://bumsonaboat.com/shop/ – Grant a Wish -- https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/MZ41FZV5C7JT?ref_=wl_share – Buy us a Beer 🍻 -- https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=2MJFJKLMLMDCL – Link to Gear -- Learn about tried & tested products we use & love, we earn from qualifying clicks ________________ ** FILM GEAR ** Main Cam | https://amzn.to/2D1G61F Dead Cat Mic | https://amzn.to/2qyTwQ1 GoPro | https://amzn.to/339J2Ug GoPro Wind Reducer | https://amzn.to/35n8N5e Polarized Filter | https://amzn.to/37lPOKd - SOFTWARE - Adobe Premiere Pro - MUSIC - Epidemic Sound - PHILOSOPHY - Tell the truth + Be positive ________________ ** BOOKSHELF ** - Sailing the Farm | https://amzn.to/2QFfRpH - Complete Illustrated Sailboat Maintenance Manual | https://amzn.to/2KIg3Rj - Boatowner’s Mechanical and Electrical Manual (Joel's fav) | https://amzn.to/2riGKVD - The Voyagers Handbook (Michal's fav) | https://amzn.to/2XCpxCE ________________ - ABOUT - https://bumsonaboat.com/about-us/ - CONNECT - Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BumsOnABoat/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/bumsonaboat - WORK WITH US - Business inquiries only: sailingsustainably@gmail.com
With wrapping up the bronze floors comes working on the mast step. This wild looking piece is built up out of live oak and black locust and looks more like a sculpture than a structural element in the boat! We also check alignment on Arabella to see if everything is still where it should be. Granted, we should have checked this before installing the knees but on our small routine checks, nothing seemed to have moved. And finally, we'll be getting started on spars soon! See you next week! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Acorn to Arabella is a boat building project taking place in Granby, Massachusetts. Series of videos which covers removing the Selden rig to replace the standing rigging and service all the rig systems, plus some other winter maintenance aspects. This part 2 covers dismantling the foresail furler motor, removing the in-mast furling system, rebuilding various swivels and repainting the hydraulic outhaul cylinder. Plus some carpet and upholstery cleaning. This week we focus on priority jobs such as exchanging the gas bottle (which we use for cooking), locating more leaks and replacing the culprit, the water pump accumulator. Our thanks to Phil and Julie Spencer-Watkins for lending us their car during our stay in Noosa and to Phil, again, for helping with the accumulator job - I couldn't have done it without you!!

A hard separation follows yet another weekend lockdown in the Bahamas. It's time to say farewell to our good friends Cody and Therese from Sailing Vinyasa. This is the hard part of cruising life. Trying to fill up on water turns into quite the ordeal as waves are bashing us all over the place. Our once calm anchorage turned into a rolly one quickly and that's the day we're trying to get the sailboat ready to sail further North. It was filmed around April 18th 2020. Log 6 | In this video our sailboat gets something shiny and new! We have a go at replacing our 29 year old staysail rigging with new Sta-Lok self-fit terminals and 1/4" 1x19 316 stainless steel wire. *We ordered all of our fittings and cable through a company called "Rigging Only" - http://www.riggingonly.com **Disclaimer: We are not professional riggers (clearly) and this video is for entertainment purposes only** 📷Follow along on Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/sv.seapearl 📖Children's Book by Paige, "I Love The Ocean & Counting: Learn to Count with Sea Life": https://amzn.to/2Rycwez __________________________________________________________ #sailboat #sailing #sailboatrefit #liveaboards #buyaboat #oceantravel #sailingcouple #diy #boatprojects #fulltimetravel #rigging #sailboatrigging #stalok

How To Get Your Engine Started!: Last time you saw us, we thought we'd bought a boat with an engine that wont start... Luckily, after some boat maintenance research, we managed to find a great method and then SUCCESS... she started purring again!! **Small disclaimer** - We are not boat mechanics and are not by any means suggesting this is how every engine can be fixed, but we had air in the fuel system and this is one way of getting it out! What we don't show is, we also used a hairdryer in the air intake to act as a pre-heater. If you have any other tricks to cold starting a Yanmar 3GM30F engine please let us know?
How we installed the Rough Country 4-Inch Suspension Lift Kit with Shocks on the front of our jeep. The front suspension lift on any car is going to be the hardest, yes it's because the front has the steering components. Stay till the end of the video where we give our thoughts on this Rough Country lift kit. We talk about the ride and other things. The hardest part of the front lift was the steering, specifically the pitman arm. Creating the video for this I think was almost as hard as the install, well not really, but it was 36 GB for the install made days of editing. It offers articulation for smooth on- and off-road performance. The tubular transfer case drop included in this Jeep Wrangler YJ suspension lift kit efficiently maintains correct driveshaft angles for wobble-free ride. The N2 shock absorbers ensure smooth highway drive and better performance on irregular terrain. Application.
