As is the view from the inside as the sealed, faired, painted, routed, then painted-again overhead of the cabin trunk is put into place on the cabin house. Then the cabin trunk is fiberglassed, effectively making what was once strips of cedar, inappropriate for planking or other parts of the boat, one solid piece of waterproof, composite material.
