We start the day by catching live bait in order to catch species like snook and mangrove snapper. As the day progresses we decide to move on top of the grass flats in pursuit of bonefish and permit. With excitement we hook up on a fish of a lifetime, a Florida Keys Permit. People spend thousands of dollars in pursuit of the elusive permit on the flats of Islamorada. Full of excitement and joy we eventually head home away from the beautiful sunset in the Florida Keys. The "Proud Lady" "Proud Lady" is a beautiful example of a Rybovich 44 Custom Sportfish. Built in 1957 Hull# 25 she has had only two owners in that time. The current owner has had her in his stewardship for nearly 45 years. She benefits from many tasteful upgrades including a glassed over hull, Cummins diesel engines, and a redesigned much larger flybridge for friends and family. Rybovich more or less set the gold standard for what would become the modern sport fishing boat both in terms or design and layout.
