The PRADA Cup consists of 17 racing days starting with a multiple Round Robin format where the three Challengers - Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, New York Yacht Club American Magic and INEOS TEAM UK face off each other for four times. The team with the most points at the end of the Round Robins moves directly to the PRADA Cup Final, while the remaining two teams compete in a best of seven wins, head-to-head, Semi-Final between the 29th January and the 2nd February. In this week's video we depart from our home in the Florida Keys in route to do some of the best deep sea saltwater fishing Florida has to offer. We spend the morning offshore fishing for different pelagic species with little to no luck, therefor we decided to make a switch and try deep drop fishing for queen snapper. We quickly transitioned from bottom fishing key largo to the deep depths off Islamorada. Upon arrival we immediately started to bring up Queen Snapper & Rutter Fish with ease. After filling multiple stringers with fish, the sun began to fall and we decided to make a run back to our Florida Keys home in order to clean and cook our catch. The swim platform is hydraulic to easily launch and retrieve a tender. There is a large seating area/dining area on the aft flybridge and forward next to the upper helm. If preferred, the aft seating area could be removed and tender could be stowed on the bridge with the addition of a davit. Two stainless steel supports have been added to the fly to hold the additional weight. The solar panels can run everything on the DC panel during daylight hours. The side door next to the lower helm helps with short handling the boat during docking. Also, there is a third docking station in the cockpit. There is a side boarding door to the cockpit. Her generator is large enough to add additional equipment, like a water maker. Her three stateroom layout with two heads can accommodate six comfortably, with crew quarters at the bow. While entry is through a large deck hatch, it is very comfortable with a head, sink, storage, separate AC controls, and about an 8-foot berth. Her master stateroom is very large with a private head and shower area. The salon is the largest in its class with a pop-up TV that rotates for the salon and to view from the seating area surrounding the lower helm. This Cranchi 53 uses the Volvo IPS 600 geared and propped for trawler speeds. This gives the vessel excellent fuel economy at trawler speeds (2000 nm at 7.5 knots), the capability of moving at over 20 knots if needed to beat a storm, and very easy maneuverability. Lastly, the mast has been made to fold easily for those who would like to clear some shorter bridges, perfect for anyone looking to do the great loop.
