In questo video parliamo solo di barche monomotore in quanto difficilmente un non professionista si cimenterà a voler montare una coppia, ma in questo caso, cioè del monomotore magari si. La tolleranza di +/- 0,5 mm è consolidata ma ci sono moltissime eccezioni che andrebbero valutate, in caso di carene non lineari e tradizionali. From 2016 to 2020 I sailed single-handed around the world on 'Fathom', a Vancouver 28 pocket cruising boat after leaving my job, career and land life in my wake. My voyage was the adventure of a lifetime and I returned home to the UK 4 years and 3 months later. 37,200 nautical miles had passed under the keel in a solo circumnavigation via the Panama Canal and South Africa. This is my attempt at piecing together a 2-part film about my adventures in the Voyage of Fathom. ​I hope you enjoy watching. Part 1: In this first episode, I depart the Isle of Wight, UK, in May 2016 and sail south to the Cape Verde Islands before crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean. After transiting the Panama Canal I cross the Pacific Ocean in 2017 and the Indian Ocean the following year before arriving in South Africa in late 2018. Good morning from the boatyard! This past week has been difficult and demoralizing. A big reason why I've not yet gotten to answering many comments and messages on my social media channels. What seems like endless sanding has finally been completed though. I've taken off all that I needed to. And now it's time to start filling things back in and then adding layers. The empty blisters from the bottom of my boat are now ready to be filled with epoxy. I've removed a section of the aft most lifeline stanchion. This was by far the most satisfying work I've done this past week. And will have an immediate and useful effect on my boats usability once out at anchor. I am starting to get the feeling that one project has lead to another. For example, because I wanted to paint the back of my boat I've had to remove my swim platform. Because I've done than I might as well make a stronger support backing for it. Because I want to do that I now need to source new material and probably hire a professional carpenter. But once these strings of tasks are completed. I think my sailboat will be gorgeous. Only time will tell, stay tuned. :)
