Siphnos is a wonderful island in the Cyclades. The name means "rocky". In the ancient times Siphnos was one of the richest islands because of its gold and silver mining. Also in the ancient times they were famous for its pottery. I enjoy the calm and nice fijordlike bay Ormos Ak Nikolao, where I took these pictures. First portion of Rolling Thunder 2013... unfortunately couldn't stay for the ride through DC, still got some good footage

For this race I had to bring the boat from Vancouver to the Gulf Islands so we made it a weekend event! There were 107 boats on the registration list and it was a very fun start followed by an enjoyable downwind run with so man spinnakers flying! In the end about half the fleet didn't finish due to light to no wind for the latter half of the day, but we stuck it out for the 24 hr time cut off and we could actually see the finish when we ran out of time. Some more of the Modifications we made for the 2013 Season. Rebuilt and moved the Galley, more seating in the main salon/cabin with a U-Shaped Setee, Storage access hatches, replaced factory carpet with new flooring. Last year, some sailors were sitting around and made the comment that a cylon eye would look cool as we steamed into the marina--so that is what this video starts with...
