With a good forecast and with what turned out to be great weather to go sailing in a few more members turned up for race 5 of the Wilsonian Dinghy club 2015 warm up series on the river Medway in Kent, England. So we had a puffy F3 breeze to play with, an incoming tide all day, lots of lovely sunshine, and reasonable temperatures... well warm for the time of year any way. Toyota Land Cruiser 80-series in low gear 4x4. Three days after the eruption of the volcano near Villarrica/Pucón we tried to take the eastern route around the volcano, hoping the park would be open again, because it was in the lava/smoke path of the volcano. Luckily a friendly park ranger let us through after seeing our truck, after we promised him not to go hiking in the still code orange region.
