Eight days of diving and we were NOT ready to come home! Julie Kelly and her entire team at Taveuni Ocean Sports are an incredible group of people and we were blown away on every dive. Highlights were absolutely the soft and hard corals, magnificent blue ribbon eel, giant clams, and napolean wrasses! Also encountered amazing anemone fish, butterfly fish, angel fish, blennies, dart fish, trigger fish, nudibranchs, groupers, and sharks. Epic wall dives included both the Great White Wall and the Purple Wall. Filmed with GoPro Hero3 in medium to strong current.

The Appliancesonline.com.au team sailed a brilliant race in the 20-knot North-Easertly wind to take out the W.C. (Trappy) Duncan Memorial 18ft Skiff Trophy race on Sydney Harbour.

Conditions on the penultimate day of the RC44 Virgin Gorda Cup turned volatile, with 30 knot gusts and intermittent torrential downpours causing dramatic fluctuations in the wind. As a result just two races were held before a bigger, more intense deluge dumped its load on the North Sound race course causing racing to be abandoned for the day. Despite the tricky weather, star performer today was John Bassadone's Peninsula Petroleum with a 1-2, elevating them to second overall, five points behind the ever-consistent leader, Artemis Racing. But all eyes are also on the RC44 Fleet Race Championship which will be decided tomorrow. At present Vladimir Prosikhin's Team Nika, leader going into this regatta is in danger of losing the championship to Bronenosec Sailing Team. Who beats who tomorrow will determine the outcome…

So why not follow an ordinary middle aged guy who finally goes and lives the dream. After thirty-five years in the ad biz – and some thirty years of marriage, three kids then three grand-kids – Sailor Alex is born, and he’s going to live his dream of sailing into the sunset and take viewers with him on his journey. From making the decision, finding a boat, owning it, learning to sail and living on it. And finally discovering the world on a 40 foot sailboat. A Living Adventure Series is how I define a video series following someone’s real life experiences. Contrary to reality TV, which has cameras following people continuously, here the camera will be in the hands of the main character, as well as the storytelling and editing. When viewers tune in to the series, they will be going into that character’s life for a short moment. I also call this a Selfie Documentary. This is what makes film making really exciting today. Because now every day people can create content that is fresh, uninhibited and free of commercial constraints. Despite the wind gods repeatedly throwing curve balls at competitors in the RC44 Virgin Gorda Cup, today Torbjörn Törnqvist and his Artemis Racing crew firmly consolidated their lead in this regatta. The Swedish team led going into the day and promptly won the opening two races and followed this up with a 6-2, making them top scoring boat of the day, eight points clear of Vladimir Liubomirov's Bronenosec Sailing Team in second overall. Bronenosec Sailing Team survived best in race three when a small squall passed through North Sound. Now second, while Vladimir Prosikhin's Team Nika has dropped to fourth, Bronenosec is currently favourite to win the overall RC44 Fleet Racing championship. John Bassadone's Peninsula Petroleum finally came good in the last race, while a solid 2-2-1 in the final three races elevated the Gibraltar-based team to third overall.

Wir heißen zwar Segler-Club Oberspree e.V (SCO), liegen aber an der Unterhavel. Das der SCO an der Unterhavel liegt ist Umständen zu verdanken, die typisch für die Berliner Geschichte sind. Gegründet wurde der SCO am 24. Juni 1906 im Restaurant "Zu den drei Linden" in Grünau. 1912 wurde die Große Rohrwall-Insel in der Dahme, am südöstlichen Rande Berlins gepachtet, gleichzeitig wurde der SCO Gründungsmitglied des "Deutschen Segler-Bundes", der später in den Deutschen Segler-Verband aufging und stellte dort für zehn Jahren mit Robert Höfer sogar den Bundesvorsitzenden. Der Große Rohrwall nun ging nach dem Krieg in die Verfügungsgewalt der DDR über, was die im westlichen Berlin wohnenden Mitglieder motivierte, 1954 den "Segler-Club Oberspree e.V." in West-Berlin zu gründen. 1966 konnte ein Grundstück in Berlin-Kladow gepachtet und wenige Jahre später mit einem in Eigenarbeit erstellten Clubhaus ausgestattet werden.
