Plateau sportif, internationalisation, médiatisation, parcours, Villages officiels : devant un important parterre de journalistes, Yves Auvinet, Président de la SAEM Vendée, a présenté les points forts de la huitième édition du tour du monde en solitaire et sans escale, dont le départ sera donné aux Sables d’Olonne le 6 novembre à 13h02 par SAS le Prince Albert II de Monaco. Le prochain grand rendez-vous est désormais fixé au samedi 15 octobre, date d’ouverture du Village officiel du Vendée Globe aux Sables d’Olonne.

The line-up for the race, the internationalisation, media coverage, the race course, the official villages… In front of a large number of journalists, Yves Auvinet, President of the SAEM Vendée, presented the main features for the eighth edition of the non-stop solo round the world race, which will begin from Les Sables d’Olonne at 1302hrs CET (1202hrs UTC) on 6th November with the start being given by HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco. The next big date on the calendar is Saturday 15th October, when the official Vendée Globe Village opens in Les Sables d’Olonne.

Those flights were always stalling before tuning the original flaps presets that came out of the box. Much after I played with the CG but after some time, I learned that it is best to launch it sideways (rolling), so the excess lift is used to make wide turns. By the time the energy gets to a normal lift speed, the plane has recovered from the roll and glides smoothly. there are no videos of those flights because it was difficult to properly launch the airplane on a roll while filming... This year's edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup certainly had all the elements. Out of the scheduled five days of racing, two days were cancelled due to the strong Mistral winds, however some of the best conditions were on Day 4 and here’s the video of one of the two coastal courses. A great regatta with close competition right to the end in all classes.
