Avant d'arriver à Keppel island, l'eau est chargée de la reproduction du corail. Entre les navigations, les lieux déserts, les mangroves et les rivières, nous n'arrêtons pas d'explorer! Nous ramassons des huitres sauvages, nous profitons de chaque instant! Nous savourons la vie!

In this episode, we sail north from Noumea to a string of shallow bays. With the southerly winds finally eased, we head through the very tight Canal Lepredour and down to beautiful Ile Tenia . We dive the outer reef wall and have a couple manta rays swim by. Returning to the shallow bay Baie De Deama (barely 1.5m deep) we visit Port Quenghi and have a lovely locally made pizza. Returning back to Noumea we stop at Ile Abu and explore the island and find sand burying starfish and banded sea snakes climbing the cliff face into a cave. Finally after living together in very close confined living space for 8 months, it was time to say goodbye to Emma and Robbie who fly back to Adelaide.

Mit meinem Bordhund „Rosi“ geht es Einhand raus zu den Sandbänken und Prielen vor Bremerhaven. Hier ankern wir im Nationalpark Wattenmeer mit unserer FEELING 29DI. Später verholen wir auf die Sandbank und gehen hier spielen und baden. Am frühen Abend soll es zurück gehen und dabei möchte ich einen neuen Seitenarm vom Suezpriel zur Weser erkunden. Aber … ich komme immer wieder fest. Es gestaltet sich anders wie gewohnt ca. 1,5 Std. nach Niedrigwasser aus dem Priel zu kommen oder gar ... ? We’ve had a long history of trying to get our CopperCoat antifoul to work. After paying an initial fee of well over $10,000 to get our boat sanded back to the gel coat and an application of Coppercoat we discovered months later that the application did not work. Our boat was full of barnacles. CopperCoat USA then got involved with the boatyard to sort things out. Instead of sorting the whole boat out the CopperCoat USA representative had the boatyard redo various patches on the hull. Needless to say, after sailing from the States to Trinidad, around 1700 miles, we were disappointed to find that all the patches that were redone had absolutely no barnacles but the rest of the boat was full of them. We then pulled the boat out in Trinidad and CopperCoat sent us the paint free of charge to have yet another application. To our utter disappointment when we put the boat back in the water it was worse than before. We knew that CopperCoat worked as the patches done under the supervision of CopperCoat USA worked. Talk about frustrating. Based on our experiences it seemed that boatyards and even the head of CopperCoat USA didn’t quite know what they were doing. Sailing Fiji Fabulous Fulaga Eastern Lau Fabulous Fulaga - The Jewel Of The Eastern Lau We make an overnight sail from Susui towards to Fulaga to ensure we arrive at the right time to enter the narrow pass into the lagoon. We have a beautiful trip and conditions to go through the pass are perfect. We anchor in a stunning spot , close to the local village, in order to present our sevusevu. As usual, this must be done in order to get permission from the chief to move freely around the island. Each boat is allocated a local 'host' , who becomes your 'go to ' person each time you enter the village. Our host was the wonderful Tai, who was great fun and very helpful. Of course, before we could start to have fun, we have to fix our windlass. Boat jobs in paradise..... Luckily our friend Peter is an electrician , so he and Rob make quick work of the job. We then make the most of the fabulous weather and begin to explore every inch of this amazing lagoon. We have a less than ideal anchoring experience on our first night in Mykonos, Greece when the Meltemi winds fill in on us. Stuck on a lee shore in 30-40 knot winds, we're forced to stand anchor watch until dawn. But when we try to seek refuge in the marina, things take a weird turn, with the marina more-or-less trying to turn us away even though it's half empty. But the Mykonos nightlife provides a good distraction.
