Well we finally made it to LA 12 hrs. later than planned. Our 5:55am flight out of Portland Maine got cancelled due to Freezing rain and Ice Build Up. Finally flew out at 4pm. Hit LA at 11:30pm. Bed and hit the ground running. No Punch liners for Us this night.

Well after contemplating life and its complexities, I turn back toward the northeast, to Marathon, FL. But a pit stop is on order in the well protected New Found Harbor while another strong cold front approaches. I set myself a mini challenge today in an attempt to improve (well, actually develop) some frugal skills, in order to make sure we get the most out of our sailing adventure fund. I'd never really considered how much money I used to spend on food until now, when the income is about to come to an abrupt halt! So I set a challenge originally to see if I can cook a wholesome, healthy, nutritious and delicious meal, which would actually fill me up (I love my food) for under £2, which ended up with me trying to push closer to the £1 mark!!! I would love to hear from anyone else who figured out ways to cut costs massively but without sacrificing what you love! I mean sure, I could of just bought a tin of own brand spaghetti hoops and had them on toast for about 50p, but that's a very different meal to spicy chicken with couscous cooked in chicken stock and green beans. It's trying to find that sweet spot between value and nutrition, I think.

Eileen and I LOVED staying on Ko Adang (THAILAND) because of its beautiful seclusion from Ko Lipe just fifteen-minute boat ride away. Another reason was for its two hikes from where we were staying at the Adang Island Resort. SailGP ‘s GBR Team Ineos hit the water on Thursday warming up for the first round of the second season of SailGP in Sydney next week.

This could be a small boat race! Sevenstar Yacht Transport is the official Logistics Partner to the RORC Caribbean 600. Wouter Verbraak, Head of Sevenstar Racing Yacht Logistics and leading professional yachtsman, walks the course before the start of the 2020 RORC Caribbean 600 starting from Antigua on Monday 24th February. “This year is going to be a very different race. The wind funnels and the big lees around the islands are going to be key,” commented Verbraak. “The last two editions have been very windy, but 2020 will be the opposite, with light winds at the start and pretty much throughout the whole race course. In these light wind conditions, the sailors will be looking to use the wind that funnels around the islands, and avoiding, where possible, the big lees. The islands are going to be big obstacles that will really keep the afterguard on their toes. The breeze should increase later in the race, so this could be a small boat race for the overall win,” concluded Verbraak. The caulking at my helmsman seat is a bit bad so I sand the whole thing and put in some new caulking, the procedure is : 1. cut the caulking loose in the edges with a utility knife 2. pull out the caulking with the reefing hook 3. sand the whole surface with grid 100 4. sand the caulking seams with TDS seam sander (grid 40) 5. remove dust and degrease with acetone 6. apply TDS bond braker tape (3.5 mm) in the bottom of the groove 7. apply SIS 440 Teak deck caulking 8. sand with grid 60 and then grid 100

Chegando ao barco verificamos que o motor não pegava, após muitos testes descobrimos que a bateria do motor tinha morrido. Tentamos carregar ela mas ela já não segurava carga. Installing Shimano 105 components on my home made carbon bike frame + first interior ride since 2 years now from the beginning of the project. I began this project in winter 2018. Frame weight before esthetic: 1182 grammes Frame weight with paint and putty: 1342 gramme Still few things to do such as the little bottom bracket plate under the frame and custom made carbon pieces for the rear derailleur and head set rings.
