El barco es, definitivamente más de un 40% más rápido que su modelo anterior que llevo navegado durante 5 años en Malta, África, Francia, España y Namibia, era el momento de graduarse al 3R

Durante una sesión de navegación en tormenta en octubre de 2022, logramos poner el barco (momentáneamente) a 12,2 nudos. Todavía estamos por romper este récord. Este es el momento en que esto sucedió, junto con algunos saltos entre olas.

Ese día, el cielo estaba gris y pude ver desde mi casa que el mar estaba fuerte. Día perfecto para el Tiwal 3. Vela grande arriba y al agua con Jorge, que empezaba entonces con el wing. Meses después, me envió algunos vídeos y había mejorado considerablemente, ahí estaba el en otra tormenta y es que mar en calma no hace marinero.

To say that we have a lot of work ahead of us is an understatement! Now that we are in the thick of things we are getting a real idea of what needs to be done on Honu. It's not just about scraping and painting the bottom. The game is the same just the players have changed a bit. Nothing like adding a couple more projects to the already long list of boat jobs. Just have to learn to pivot and go with the flow when it comes to refitting a boat. We have had the opportunity to learn so much more about repairing our sailboat in the last couple of days, and Jimmy of Port Urbanna Boatworks has been an invaluable source of knowledge. Josh knew a bit about fiberglass work but not in the detail that we needed to reconstruct our rudder situation. Once again, our boat guru was there to guide us along the way. We would have been days behind with deconstruction, instead of the intense 48hrs it took. A lot of that has to do with the go gett’m attitude we have, but also learning the little tricks to get things done more efficiently. The days seem to be all running into each other as we start at sun up and don’t finish till it goes back down again. We have a goal, not a plan, of getting back in the water in 14 days. So it’s back to blue faces and sore backs till we get it done. Nous vous proposons une petite balade autour du Chateau de Kernevez sur Saint-Pol-De-Léon en Finistère Nord.. Thierry et Christel Propriété privée. Château visible depuis la portion de GR34 « La promenade du Petit Nice ». Le parc se visite en septembre pour les Journées Européennes du Patrimoine. Le château de Kernévez, d’inspiration néoclassique, a été construit peu après 1850 pour la famille de Guébriant, d’après les plans de l’architecte parisien Froelicher, sur l’emplacement du château de La Villeneuve détruit. Le parc paysager de 37 hectares qui l’entoure et qui descend jusqu’à la mer a été dessiné par le paysagiste Bühler qui signa également les plans du bois de Boulogne. L’appel aux concepteurs parisiens reflète la coupure avec la tradition architecturale locale. Aujourd’hui site classé, il possède, outre une grande variété d’arbres, une roseraie, les vestiges de la chapelle de Kerliviry, de superbes écuries en moëllons de granit, un étang, un dolmen en dalles de schiste… Durant la deuxième moitié du 19 ème siècle dans le Léon, une dizaine de fermes-métairies dites de Guébriant dont celle-ci, bordant l’Allée Verte, est l’un des exemplaires les plus typiques, obéissaient à un modèle précis guidé par une préoccupation sanitaire. Le granite est le matériau obligé de ces constructions soignées et sévères aussi bien pour le logis principal que les dépendances. Chainplates are where the rigging connects to the hull of the boat. They’re very structurally important parts, as if they break, it can cause the mast to fall down. We want to make an additional third forestay to give us a larger number of sail configurations and so we need to make a new chain plate to attach this forestay to the boat.
