A tropical wave (soon to become HURRICANE MATTHEW) has left the coast of Africa this week that is headed straight for the Southern Caribbean... very unusual as they usually track a slightly Northern component as they head this way, but this one is gaining momentum in our direction and packing forecast winds of over 60knots! After our last day of skinny water sailing, an unexpected squall and a bad anchorage today is pretty darn awesome! Join the Crew on Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/the_wynns Read the full story and get the extra deets: http://bit.ly/2cLJHkT-shakedown-keys We "woke" up from our zero sleep night and for some crazy reason we decided not to start the engine to get off the hook. From that moment it turned out to be a challenge to run the engines as little as possible the rest of the day. We searched for the underwater Jesus, we caught another barracuda, we tested out our waterproof action cameras and ended the day with a solid hook in the ground. Nothing spectacular happened yet we ended our night feeling like the luckiest people in the world! Thanks to everyone for being a part of our journey. Enjoy our vids? Sea Chateau is a 1997 Voyage Mayotte 500 for sale in the BVIs (as of September 2016). The boat is very well kept by the liveaboard owners who have run a successful charter business for several years. I have no connection to the boat or the sale other than as an interested buyer. It's a bit too big for us, but surveying the market, it is a lot of boat for the money.
This is our continuation south to get to Grenada before the height of hurricane season

The boat.life visits the Georgia Sea Turtle Center in Jekyll Island, GA. We see a turtle bone shell repair and many turtles recovering in the hospital. Before leaving we adopt two turtles from the center. A loggerhead named Charm and a green turtle named Camachee.
We did something crazy and put in an offer on a boat we hadn't seen ... this is us viewing her for the first time, and our thoughts on what's great and what's not to love.
