** NOW SOLD ** Selene is a Hanse 371 launched new in 2005 and listed exclusively for sale with Yoti. The Hanse 371 comes from a period where the hugely successful German manufacturer were producing a superior blend of classic lines and styling with modern comfort and ease of handling. In this example we see a yacht both very well specified by her original owner and improved significantly by her current owner. Selene’s layout consists of two generous cabins, large saloon, a very practical L shaped galley, navigation area offering additional seating and a massive storage locker accessible via both the galley and cockpit. Some of the significant items chosen at time of order include the upgraded 40Hp Yanmar with 3 blade Gori propeller with overdrive function, a teak rubbing strake, double stainless steel bow roller, lifeline opening gates, Northsails genoa in addition to the self-tacking headsail, roller bearing mast slide cars, substantial instrument package with two colour plotters and auto-pilot. Some recent additions include 24” TV/DVD with digi mast antenna, Fusion stereo, wireless internet terminal, plumbed gas BBQ and an additional portable fridge / freezer. Contact Yoti for details and inspection on Pittwater. http://www.yoti.com.au/hanse-371-selene-2/
Today, the friends that we had made in Tollesbury were planning a short hop along the coast to Brightlingsea.... and as we had never been before there before and as they didn't seem to object to us tagging along, we decided to follow them. Turned out to be a great sail into what is, another really nice seaside town, in fact the journey had some thing for everyone in the end. Music from http://www.purple-planet.com/

This week was a very different from others - we have visited 2 islands and experienced having the entire island just for us :-) The first place was a Rum Cay which is around 35 miles away from Long island. We did not have any wind and we were using just the engine all way long. Rum cay is a pretty remote place and only 100 people are living there. The next day we headed to the Conception island - a national part where no one lives. During the fist day we have met nice people who anchored right next to us and spending an evening sharing our sailing experience. The next way we were the only on the entire island. We harnessed our dinghy and made a huge loop around the Conception island - it was really amazing. Rocky corners with splitting waves, white sand beaches with bubbles under toes, and hidden coral reefs all over. A short video from a visit to Tod Inlet, in the Canadian Gulf Islands in September 2016. Tod Inlet is a very popular anchorage, and can be quite crowded during peak season, but it's a different place in the slower times. A tropical wave (soon to become HURRICANE MATTHEW) has left the coast of Africa this week that is headed straight for the Southern Caribbean... very unusual as they usually track a slightly Northern component as they head this way, but this one is gaining momentum in our direction and packing forecast winds of over 60knots!
