Now we’re on a #sailing voyage about the world. Did we have any previous sailing experience, of course not! Neither of us is overly talented, smart, rich, lucky, or retired. But that doesn’t stop us from reaching far-flung destinations, having wild #adventures and managing everything that makes living aboard a moving vessel possible. We were truly taken aback by this 65 foot steel yacht. At an asking price of $225,000, it has the accommodations of 50' or bigger catamaran for a much more affordable price tag. Typically catamarans with similar accommodations are million dollar boats. We're constantly looking for boats that have a ton of bang for your buck and this one certainly fits the bill. A few things to note: This boat has twin diesels, which great and is not typical for monohull sailboats. It also has a huge engine and equipment room which isn't typical. This boat is truly setup to take you anywhere on the globe in comfort, including high latitudes, with it's heavy-duty steel construction and protected helms. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make sure you make an informed decision on your next boat with this tool: http://sailingsoulianis.com/shop/ltl-boat-buying-dashboard/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information about this Yacht please contact the owner, Roderick Nassif at the email address listed below: rorynassif@yahoo.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not-A-Broker Consulting: https://www.patreon.com/notabrokerconsulting Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/learningthelines/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/learningthelines/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Learning the Lines is a channel about us, an average couple in our 20's, with big dreams to be sailing the world by the time we're in our 30's. Although slightly disconcerting at first, cement is actually a really useful material in boatbuilding. Richard has been working on the Bulwark Staunchions, which are made of White Oak and will support the Bulwarks, a kind of fence around the perimeter of the deck. Pete has been making the aftermost deck beam, or transom cleat, which will support the end of the deck strakes. —- To become a Patron - https://www.patreon.com/sampsonboatco To donate or support - http://sampsonboat.co.uk/support My Amazon Wishlist http://a.co/76y5IZP For sneaky previews of what’s going on in between episodes, follow my FACEBOOK http://www.facebook.com/sampsonboatco and INSTAGRAM http://www.instagram.com/sampsonboatco. Because we are about to see our new catamaran for the very first time. Ok, it’s probably the same emotions I felt on the day we signed the boat build contract but somehow it feels different. It’s been almost a year since we sold Curiosity in New Zealand and began the build of Curiosity 2. And when we purchased, the HH44 was little more than a concept with a few digital renderings. They hadn’t even started building the molds yet. But it ticked all the boxes we really wanted in a boat. In concept, it was as close to “the perfect boat” as we could imagine. Because HH would be building it from the ground up with strength, performance, and self-reliance in mind. There’s no way any retrofit we could ever do would be nearly as good...right?! But it’s no longer a concept, it’s a real boat and I can't help myself, I have a lot of expectations. So yes, I am excited but I am also nervous. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WE’RE JASON AND NIKKI WYNN. A couple of modern-day documentarians, perpetual travelers, and seekers of tall tales. We’ve been chasing our curiosity around the world on wheels and keels since 2011. Why? Because curiosity is the key to unlocking life. It pushes us outside our comfort zone, softens our assumptions, and helps us embrace the great unknown. The more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us. Our home is also our transportation and we spend weeks away from civilization and sometimes land. Self-reliance and living a sustainable lifestyle are a must. It's all about managing our resources and we’re always looking for new and better ways to do so. We've lived off the grid for over 10 years now in everything from a Van to RV to a Sailboat. And over time we have learned a lot about renewable energy, creating safe drinking water, and managing our waste. Our journey is ever-evolving but the mission remains the same: #CultivateCuriosity Timestamps if you like to Jump Around: 00:00 HH Factory - Xiamen China 00:54 How to Paint a Sailboat 03:34 A Perfectly Painted Performance Cat 05:21 Binbei Neighborhood Xiamen China 08:15 Blocked Websites in China - surfshark.deals/WYNNS 09:58 Building an HH44 Catamaran 10:55 HH44 Cockpit Walkthrough 15:03 HH44 Galley Walkthrough 16:10 HH44 Salon and Nav Desk 19:12 HH44 Carbon Construction & Headroom 19:55 HH44 Owners Hull - Bed, Head and Storage 22:28 HH44 Guest Hull 23:20 HH44 Workshop Option 24:56 The Space & Feel of the HH44 25:59 Deck & Hardtop Tour ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #BoatLife #Catamaran #TravelVlog #DigitalNomad #LifeStyle #Sailboats © Gone With the Wynns 2023
While waiting on my new boat to finish being built we have returned to the dark side and bought a 2001 Searay 340 Sundancer to use for the winter and spring. The boat has twin mercruiser 7.4 liter gas powered engines that make 320 horsepower each. I will be selling this boat at the end of the spring... want to buy it? bobby@sailingdoodles.com This channel is funded by viewers like you. Our 3 day sail to Los Roques from Grenada was a mighty good one. We kept each other entertained and made the most of our time at sea with no form of communication with the rest of the world for a few days, which we we hadn't had in a while. We arrived in Grande Roque, the main island of the bunch. We expected the island to be quite expensive after reading on the internet that it was. But we soon found out that it was exactly the opposite! Probably the cheapest place we have ever been so far! Stoked. We try and get the outboard fixed in the town but the language barrier makes it quite hard to explain the situation. Luckily some friendly dudes took it from us and handball it to a fisherman on another island to fix. He gets the job done, and we are free to go and explore the number of deserted islands in Los Roques!! Yeeehah. We’re jumping off the deep end here and no doubt many will call us cavalier. Because we’re taking a 47-foot NEEL Trimaran, a type of boat we have never sailed and have zero experience on, out to sea on an offshore passage. Would we have liked a test sail first??? Of course! But it was a quick handover, the weather was fickle, and here we are. But it’s certainly not our first offshore passage and we like a good challenge. And a challenge is exactly what we got! #269 It's certainly feeling like we're never gonna leave Ponta Delgada. This time though it's because of the mounting pile of tasks, dodgy ovens and fibreglass repairs. La Vaga is looking more like a construction barge than home right now. As much as we want a functioning kitchen, we're really itching to get out on the water again. Especially because a submerged crater is just sitting there, come on let's goooooooo. And we have a late change to the squad: Bri is leaving us, fair winds!
