We hear from the top four as they round, as well as from Dongfeng Race Team on their recent dismasting, and from Team SCA about their Cape Horn ETA. A ground-breaking first for live coverage in such a remote location!

#276 It's truly one of the best walks we have done. What is this place?? We go on a massive descent down the hills of Sao Jorge, hiking on to a little surf village. The Azores have been dotted by these beautiful settlements by the sea but this one might just take the cake. Possibly because it took such a big effort to get there. The people living there are seriously remote, what a place to live. The Azores though, seriously, nicest people you'll meet in the world. We've been helped out of a jam more than a couple times, thanks once again to the kind folk of the middle Atlantic. And thank you guys for tuning in with us today! Here at Shoreline Marina in Long Beach, CA we have a boat auction twice per year. In this video I bring you along with me to watch bidders buy boats for super cheap. Some of them didn't even get a bid and weren't sold at all. The opening bid for a sailboat is $400 and they still didn't sell. These sailboats are run down and dirty. Most of them wouldn't be worth fixing up and doing the whole DIY sailboat refit but some of them are worth fixing up. Although this was a good auction with decent boat inventory I've seen better boats at past auctions so be sure to subscribe if you want to know when the next auction is happening and see my next boat auction video. After the tangled anchors drifting out to sea debacle last week we experienced last week, I sent everyone off to have some down time away from the boat. Daniel would go to Athens and then rendezvous with us in Malta, in particular though Elayna I thought needed a bit of a break. She and Kayla went to the island of Ios which is actually where Elayna and I met. It was a shame I couldn't get there myself but we still needed to get the boat back La Grande Motte before leaving the Mediterranean and I knew from previous experience how difficult it gets rushing from East to West in the Med late in the season. Winter Is Coming. To be honest its the least I could do. If you guys could only see how much time and effort Elayna puts into just one episode you would fall off your chair. I can't edit movies like she can but I can sail a boat by myself to keep the team heading in the right direction. I intended to sail solo from Greece to Malta but that was before I met Houmaid, one of the most interesting guys I've come across. After some provisioning and intense discussions about the weather, we set sail for Malta. 30 Years ago when facing retirement, Henk and Lucy decided to build a 41ft custom steel sailboat in their front lawn. It took them 4 years to build and after that they set sail for 30 years around Asia. Their dream has always been to sail to the Mediterranean. Because we are building a boat with HH Catamarans, and their main factory is here…we were able to get business visas.  And we have been ALL business with our trips (turns out managing a new boat build is a full-time job). Thankfully, our boat is on the final stretch and sea trials begin soon.  Which means we will be ready to sail out of here before the end of the month! But we are in China!  A country we never thought we would have the opportunity to see, much less experience.  There’s no way we could let ourselves sail out of here without exploring at least a little bit of the country first.  So, we decided to take a one-week hiatus from the factory and do exactly that. China is a huge country with some of the most incredible landscapes we’ve never seen.  Luckily, China has the biggest highspeed railway network in the world.  So, we decided to pick a direction and go as far as we could.  A 2100km journey from Xiamen to the start of the Tibet Mountains in the Yunnan Province. We sail to the east side of the Island to discover the most virgin area, where we will visit the lonely Cala de Es Clot des Llamp. Then we will sail south, arriving at the beautiful town of Santa Eularia des Riu, where we will meet again with civilization. After so many days of nature, sea, loneliness and little clothes, Noemi also wants to see stores, buy a new dress and go to the restaurant. Finaly we rent a Mehari to start a trip aboard this beautiful car through the interior of these amazing Island. ................................................................................. En este episodio dejamos la hermosa cala de Portinatx en Ibiza. Navegamos hacia el lado este de la isla para descubrir la zona más virgen, donde visitaremos la solitaria Cala de Es Clot des Llamp. Luego navegaremos hacia el sur, llegando a la hermosa ciudad de Santa Eularia des Riu, donde nos encontraremos nuevamente con la civilización. Después de tantos días de naturaleza, mar, soledad y poca ropa, Noemí también quiere ver tiendas, comprar un vestido nuevo e ir al restaurante. Finalmente, alquilamos un Mehari para comenzar un viaje a bordo de este hermoso automóvil a través del interior de esta increíble isla. ------------------------------------------------------------ En aquest episodi deixem la bonica cala de Portinatx a Eivissa. Naveguem cap a la banda de est de l’Illa per descobrir la zona més verge, on visitarem la solitària Cala d’Es Clot des Llamp. Després navegarem cap al sud, arribant a la bonica ciutat de Santa Eularia des Riu, on ens trobarem de nou amb la civilització. Després de tants dies de natura, mar, solitud i poca roba, la Noemi també vol veure botigues, comprar algun vestit nou i anar al restaurant. Finalment, lloguem un Mehari per començar un viatge a bord d’aquest bonic cotxe per l’interior d’aquestes sorprenent illa.
