Das uns beides in einem gelang, war auch ein bisschen Zufall. Opern Gala am Sylvester Abend. Das klingt nicht nur teuer, das ist mit 900 AU$ pro Person absurd teuer. Aber alles ist zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr unverschämt teuer in Sydney. Freunde machen nur eine Bootstour und beobachten dann das Feuerwerk außerhalb der restricted area – das ist nahezu genauso teuer. Zum Ausgleich haben wir ein gebuchtes Essen sowie ein Bed and Breakfast gekündigt und sind mit unserem Campervan in die Nähe der Endstation der S-Bahnlinie T1 nach Richmond gezogen. Der Stellplatz des Richmond Club kostet 10 AU$, der auf Percy`s Place 65 AU$ pro Nacht. Von hier nehmen wir den Zug in die Stadt. Das dauert 2 h pro Richtung also 16 h in den vier Tagen, die wir hier sind. Das ist unerträglich – am Neujahrsmorgen wird es sogar schon wieder hell als wir erschöpft in unsere Koje fallen. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März 2021geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben passte als in meins. In den folgenden 6 Monaten hat Brigitta aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich über unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. Insgesamt sind wir aktuell 4 ½ Jahre unterwegs. Ein Abenteuer folgt dem nächsten und wir genießen jeden Tag aufs Neue. Auf der Suche nach Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit, Abenteuerlust und Naturverbundenheit segeln wir - Brigitta und Hannes - gemeinsam um die Welt. New kit is on order, but that’s the reality of a DIY operation—sometimes the tech fails before the spirit does. ​Beyond the dead pixels, we’ve been in the trenches with Bella. Our pup’s dealing with a pinched nerve and a rough back, so we’ve been focused on getting her back on her feet. Add in the quiet of an empty nest and a much-needed tactical reset, and we’ve been "off-grid" for a minute. ​We haven’t forgotten you. New gear drops tomorrow, a haircut is in the works, and we’re back in the wire next weekend. Traded the lawnmower for a salt breeze, and we’re not looking back. Stay tuned.

Am 18.09.25 starteten wir vom Kap Sounion mit über 30 kn Wind Richtung Ägina. Wir hofften im Verlauf auf weniger Wind und kleiner werdende Wellen, aber erst kurz vor Ägina beruhigte sich die See. Ich war von der stürmischen Nacht total übermüdet und dem vielen Wind und den kleinen aber hohen Wellen echt überfordert. Ich war Seekrank und übergab mich dann tatsächlich auch das erste Mal auf unserem Schiff ... In Ägina angekommen war dann alles wieder gut. Wir blieben dann auch direkt in dem kleinen Hafen Perdika eine Woche, weil es nach fast 4 Monaten auch mal schön war zu verweilen. Wir liehen uns wieder einen Roller aus und erkundeten die Insel. Aber vor allem genossen wir das saubere Wasser in der Bucht. Am 26.09.25 ging es dann weiter nach Poros. Unsere letzte Fahrt vor dem Auswassern. Viel Spaß beim Ansehen.
