Caratteristiche tecniche del gommone Honda 4XC H8.5 Il protagonista di questa prova in mare è il gommone Honda 4XC H8.5, un battello lungo 8,20 metri e largo 3 metri, progettato per offrire massima stabilità in acqua e una navigazione confortevole anche con mare formato. Equipaggiato con un motore Honda V6 da 250 cavalli e 3500 cc, questo gommone si distingue per la sua potenza e la silenziosità sorprendente, anche a regimi bassi (ad esempio, a 2000 giri quasi non si sente!). Layout e funzionalità a bordo La collaborazione tra Alta Marea e Honda Marine ha portato alla realizzazione di un’imbarcazione non solo esteticamente bella, ma anche funzionale e ben organizzata. In last week's episode, I arrived at the marina to find my Torqeedo Travel 1103C outboard had been damaged by a severe wind storm. It wasn't so much the 40 mph winds, as it was the direction of the winds directly into the marina. According to the marina staff, there were 3-4 foot waves rolling right over the breakwater and swamping all the marina docks. Several boats were damaged and the only other sailboat at the lake broke from its mooring ball and ended up against the shore. So in this episode, the replacement part arrives from Torqeedo. I teardown the Torqeedo Travel motor, install the new part, reassemble the motor and perform a function check. Overall, it was a pretty easy installation, albeit quite expensive. This incident really has me wondering if keeping my sailboat in a marina in this volatile part of Colorado is sustainable. There's a reason this marina only has 12 slips and I've been the only sailboat to ever rent a slip here. Maybe it's time to become a daysailor? Le fait d’utiliser cette planche vous évite de plier et déplier un grand nombre de fois votre carte (qui a la fâcheuse tendance à se déchirer au niveau des plis). This new video is the completion of us putting our interior salon back together! Some things that made the job extra tricky because of where we are: 1. FORMICA is something we needed to bring to the boat, as it is NOT sold in MEXICO. The Formica for this job was driven to the boat a YEAR earlier in prep for what was to come. We needed to order a router and special bits that could cut the Formica too. Travis has a full workshop in Texas, and my dad (mom) does too...so it was always a thought of "if only we were back in TEXAS"...LOL. The Formica...measure 10x and cut 1x. We felt it, and Travis did a brilliant job! 2. We did not label all pieces of wood trim that needed labeling, which made the putting it all back together all the more laborsome. 3. The furring strips on the starboard side needed redoing entirely, because that side the originals were rotten. Travis and I...learned a new skill we did not know we needed. Who knew! 4. All of those teak pieces of trim needed and indeed cut cut exactly to their new shape (old chainplates were slightly smaller in all directions!). This...took more time too. 5. The material for the ceiling was also brought to the boat a year before...it is foam backed vinyl! A wonderful wonderful material and it was so easy to use and install! (We bought it on Amazon!). WE WILL get this boat of ours launched and under sail soon...we certainly did not know we were buying such a project boat when we did, but one day she will be as perfect as she can be, and we will bask in the glow of an a job well done, and stories to tell! Trotz Sicherung lösen sich Kaffeemaschine und Katzenklo, Kaffeebohnen, Wasser und Katzenstreu fliegen durch das Boot. Und dann beginnt die Seekrankheit. Valerie und ich können nichts mehr bei uns behalten. Kein Schluck Wasser bleibt im Körper. Die Nacht bringt Wetterwarnungen bis 8 Beaufort, der Autopilot versagt und Simon fährt die ganze Nacht alleine durch. Als wäre das nicht genug, riecht es plötzlich verbrannt. Wir brechen die Überfahrt ab und nehmen Kurs auf die Insel le d’Yeu. War die Notlandung richtig? Was war kaputt? Und schaffen wir es am Ende trotzdem über die Biscaya?
