Since my plan always was to anchor Celina in bays around the world I really depend on a means of transportation to reach land. Like the rest of the sailing community I use a dinghy which I built myself in late 2019 even before I bought Celina. It is made of 6mm plywood and lots of epoxy reinforced with glass fibre and consists of two separate shells, aka nesting dinghy. My dinghy is about 3 m long but when nested it is just about the half and fits easily on the foredeck of Celina. What fun this little boat is. I can use it with an engine, pure muscle power or even with a sail. It is a reliable and fun machine. I have an old Allpowers Battery that I have just fixed so I thought what better use for it than to use it for Lulu. It's got 24AH of 12V power so should be large enough to run a bunch of 12V gadgets, phones/tablets and even a laptop if needed. I make a wateproof lead for it so we can start to work out how to install it on Lulu. I also finish making the waterproof silicon covers for my outboard battery. In this episode we will mostly do sightseeing in Gibraltar we of cause see the Monkeys but also caves and tunnels but we will also do some boatwork. We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our boat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life experience the places we visit. We have sailed the Atlantic coast of Europe from Sweden to the Mediterranean Sea via Madeira and the Azores. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy and Soling sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boats and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders in 2017. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 4 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Départ d'une partie de l'équipage en avion.. Le capitaine se retrouve seul pour la traverser jusque Minorque accueil du nouvel équipier ami Didier. Quelques belles navigations et belles calas dans les alentours, un orage puis deux La météo n'est toujours pas favorable pour le retour vers le continent. Didier devra prendre le ferries retour pour rentrer à son tour... Le capitaine se retrouve à nouveau seul.....

Das war dann auch schon die Segelsaison 2024. Für die ursprüngliche Wettervorhersage sind wir bei der letzten Wettfahrt der Mittwochsregatta glimpflich davon gekommen. Der Regen hörte zum Start auf und sogar die Sonne ließ sich kurz blicken. Beim anschließenden Grillen mit Siegerehrung konnte Maiko den Gesamtsieg feiern. SturmStina und Monk folgten auf den Plätzen - beide Yachten erreichten auch in der letzten Wettfahrt als erste das Ziel - nur in umgekehrter Reihenfolge. Somit der 2. Tagessieg der Saison für Monk, das dürfte die Steuermanns Diskussion über den Winter befeuern. Aber Konkurrenz belebt ja bekanntlich das Segel-Geschäft. Danke an die Veranstalter und wir sehen uns im kommenden Jahr wieder auf der Ostsee.
