Hello everybody. We are having a great time cruising Frolic through the Northern Exumas. We do a bit of hiking, snorkeling and kiteboarding at several spots and have some great sailing in between. Sorry to hear about the big storm pummeling the US. Fortunately the weather here has been consistently pleasant. 75-80 degrees day and night, winds 12-18 kts from the southeast, just a few minutes of rain very infrequently and water temperature of 75. We are not missing snow shoveling or sub-zero temperatures at all

When the part finally arrives Sopromar helps us to install it, then it's splash time and we can finally do the final passage preparation incl provisioning, sea securing and pre-cooking but in between all the work we also have time for some socializing visits to some of Lagos best restaurants. But will we be finished in time before Tintomara leaves to go to Porto Santo? We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our boat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boat and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders a 4 years ago. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 3 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Litza is a Devon Rex cat and she is the real cattain aboard. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sailed in the Baltic Sea until we in August started to sail South along the Atlantic coast of Europe in 2020 and 2021.

Non ci sono istruttori a bordo, la barca è autogestita dal gruppo: - puoi organizzare le uscite in barca a vela - decidi di partecipare alle uscite in barca a vela organizzate dagli altri membri del gruppo - fai esperienza di conduzione di una barca a vela insieme agli altri velisti - acquisisci sempre più padronanza della gestione di una barca a vela - invita i tuoi amici ed i tuoi familiari, condividi con loro la tua passione per la vela e preparati alla prossima crociera in barca a vela in totale sicurezza Se ti stai chiedendo da cosa nasce il progetto, la risposta è molto semplice. Episode 13: Iceland: where our NOMAD journey began Happy Holidays whatever it is you may be celebrating at this time of year. Peace be with you and yours. 💕 If you’re interested in where we started our journey this is a sneak peak. Once we sold the house and most of our stuff we set upon a journey of a lifetime. Iceland had been on our bucket list for some time and it spiked when the volcano became active. So we flew to Iceland, rented a van and started north on the ring road…the rest is history. A few places we’d highly recommend is The Beer Spa Blue Lagoon As many waterfalls as you can smash in your trip Glacier Lake Any active volcano if possible Try the ice cream, it’s amazing!!! Also try Skyr (Icelandic yogurt) We rented the van for 3 weeks staying in campgrounds as we could find them. We tried to schedule out our adventure a few days in advance to make sure and maximize our time. We hiked several volcanoes, stopped at beautiful beaches , experienced some of the clearest water for snorkeling and also the coldest water we’ve been in. Had a romantic beer bath at The Beer Spa and followed it up with an amazing dinner! The entire coastline changes as you move around the island. Each providing a slightly different feel and epic original and grand beauty. Iceland feels as close to magic as we can fathom. It captured our hearts and we will go back. The pictures in the video do not do it justice and are only a snippet of everything we captured. Simply amazing, rugged and raw landscapes while also being lush and green and full of life. The Spring Gozo Regatta fleet heading north towards Mgarr, Gozo was a wonderful sight as eighteen boats were on the starting line in Marsamxett. The fleet had a downwind with a south westerly wind blowing 14 to 18 knots. Leading the fleet outside Marsamxett was Andrew Agius Delicata’s Vivace, but was closely followed by Jonathan Gambin’s TonTon Laferla. Crossing the line first was Luis Azzopardi and Sara Baldwin’s Corona, followed by TonTon Laferla and Vivace. With ratings coming into play, the first three boats were Vivace (Andrew Agius Delicata / Matthew Gabriele) Ton Ton Laferla (Jonathan Gambin) Pep (Mark Camilleri) Race Management duties were undertaken by Martin Azzopardi, Michelle Caruana and Piero Picone at the start in Marsamxett, whilst Adrian Gauci Borda took care of finish line duties in Mgarr.

This is a bit of an experiment, so we'll see how it goes, but I would really like to make something that can clip on to the gun whales of my boat that would not need anything screwed in. I need this for a tent cover and also to be able to place fenders in different positions, depending on what i'm doing. So I get an idea from another product and then see what I can come up with using my 3D printer!
