I posted the end of season 2 montage separately right here. I tihnk in season 2 I really pushed my experience on, especially with Lulu my Drascombe Lugger. The season also went really quickly for me. It seems like only yesterday I was bringing little Mochyn Du to the lake and wearing my wetsuit!!! Doing this video really made me remember all those little memories of the season, brought a bit of a tear to my eyes knowing just how much we got up to this year!! Anyway, hope you enjoy it. This week I ought a few bird scaring items, lets hope they work. Then it's on to getting some of my wiring re-done. Some of the connectors I use are just loose and giving a poor connection, so I re-do these hopefully solving the problem. Then its onto my Mariner 6HP outboard, for an impending first ever sea trip in Lulu. The outboard won't start however and I think it's stale fuel that I left in when testing her last time. So we get the fuel tank out so we can drain the fuel and hopefully that will solve the issue. Sen har jag som senior börjat arbeta som "handy" på ett veteranföretag. Lite trädgård, lite möbelmontering och några gardinstänger som behöver återmonteras. Jag är förvånad över hur lite folk klarar av själva. När jag var riktigt liten så byggde folk sina egna hus och reparerade sina bilar. I dag kan folk inte skruva bort en skruv och borra ett hål. Skrämmande. Jag får se om det blir en serie med "Basic" kunskaper?

In this episode of Sailing Mirage, I continue exploring the incredible islands of the Bahamas. This time I make a 70 nautical mile solo passage from Rum Cay to Cat Island. As usual, I’m sailing alone aboard Mirage, so the day starts early to catch the tide and strong morning breeze. Unser Segelboot Squib, ein Catalac 9M, ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Verkleidung hängt teilweise von der Decke, die Farbe blättert ab, die Elektrik auf dem Stand des vorigen Jahrtausends,..... Ein Refit steht an. Doch Broterwerb und Verpflichtungen lassen es nicht zu, monatelang in Griechenland am Boot zu arbeiten. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles Andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. 2021 war es dann endlich soweit, mit zwei komplett überholten Motoren und einem neuen Geräteträger starteten wir Anfang Juli Richtung Südfrankreich.Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Doch manchmal nahmen wir uns die Zeit zu verweilen, uns Orte näher anzuschauen. Obwohl Squib noch nicht ganz fertig ist, werfen wir die Leinen los und starten unsere erste Etappe donauabwärts. Dreieinhalb Wochen später erreichen wir das Donaudelta, der Mast wird gestellt, ein passendes Wetterfenster abgewartet, in zwei Sclägen überqueren wir das Schwarze Meer bis zum Bosporus. Ohne Einzuklarieren mit gehisster Q Flagge durchqueren wir die Türkei und erreichen 5 Tage später die Ägäis. Über Limnos und die nördlichen Sporaden segeln wir bis in den Großraum Athen, von wo aus Sabina nach Hause fliegt, weil ihr Urlaub zu Ende ist.
