Chazzy and I fly back to Florida, and we do a little bit of house hunting. We met with the realtor and saw a few homes. From there, I went back to New Jersey. I have been taking my dad to do some different activities to hopefully spark some interest in him doing these kinds of things as well. I am a huge fan of staying active and doing things even when doing them by yourself and am trying to instill that with Dad too. We went to see a Hello Dolly at a local community playhouse. The Springfield Theatre is a beautiful colonial style home/building that has been converted into a theatre. We had a great dinner at Red Lobster and then off to the play. I then did some business travel to Minneapolis, which was quite nostalgic for me, and I enjoyed it. Then Deb and I put in an offer on a house. It didn't quite meet all of our needs, but we figured, at the price, it would work and had a lot of what we liked. I will show you that house in this video as well. With the offer accepted, we are not going to do a full-blown inspection, and based on that we will see if all is still good — more on that next week. With all of the major overhauls we have been doing, its easy to lose sight of how big of a difference small projects can make when it comes to the enjoyment of our home. This week we finish installing the composting toilet (A fully functioning toilet! What a concept!), add small touches to our bathroom to make it more useable in day to day life, put on our mattress topper to ensure we are getting solid nights sleep, and reinstall the finger pulls for our cupboards - giving our kitchen and bedroom a much more "finished" look. Little things but big satisfaction. Everyday this sailboat is feeling more like a forever home. We can't wait to get out and explore! We left Galveston on December 5, 2022 and made a few stops in Florida before crossing over to The Bahamas. It was an amazing trip. Beautiful beaches and clear blue water. We met so many people that we'll be friends with forever I hope. As nice as it was we were happy to return to the US.

The Mizzen mast looks a bit tired so in todays video I strip the mast of the sail, lines and fairleads so we can have a good look at the spar. Tudo bem pessoal, desta vez vocês vão acompanhar minha velejada em solitário com meu veleiro Vidinha Boa (Cal 9.2) saindo de Jurerê até a ilha do Mata-Fome, passando pertinho dos Moleques do Norte. Na saída peguei um pouco de vento oeste até chegar ao mar aberto onde o vento sul soprava forte, pude fazer alguns bordos tendo que rizar a vela mestra e enrolar a genoa em 60% pra manter o barco alinhado e andamento numa média de 5 a 6 nós. Paisagens lindas em contato total com as forças da natureza. Após contornar a ilha do Mata-Fome peguei vento de popa chegando a 7,5 nós numa surfada gostosa até contornar a ponta do Rapa e voltar para Jurerê ainda numa orça máximo finalizado o dia muito feliz.
