Join us as we explore Medellin, the city of Pablo Escobar, once called the Murder Capital of the World. We are there during the annual flower festival, getting to see the special Botanical Gardens Show, tour Comuna 13, visit the Escobar Museum, take the cable cars to Parque Arvi, and tour Botero Plaza and downtown. #sailing #pacificcrossing #coconutmilkrun #medllin #pabloescobargaviria #colombia NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US? If you wish to support our video efforts, all we ask is that you SUBSCRIBE, give a THUMBS UP, SHARE our videos with your friends, AND COMMENT! WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET TO KNOW US MORE DEEPLY? In the 40th episode of The Rogue Rigger we take you along for a ride on our International 505 for the last race of a three day regatta up at the Columbia River Gorge. We were blessed with three days of racing in 25knots of breeze, air temperatures in the upper 70's and a ripping ebb tide(Its a river, the "tide" is always flowing upwind), this is why we travel up here! This was our last race for the event and both Mike and I were filling the wear and tear from the previous days racing not to mention the great local beer so give us a little slack... Shout out to the Columbia Gorge Racing Association (CGRA) for putting on a great event in one of the worlds best sailing venues! Good times for sure! Cant wait for next year!
Welcome back! Its been a busy year full of Sailing and adventuring. I managed to pull together a small clip of footage to explore our 2024 Cruising season. Summer 2024 was one ill always look back on with a smile and plenty of gratitude! Take good care, Cody

We mounted the outboard motor and made the necessary modifications required to splash our UP340 dinghy. It is unlucky to launch any boat without its name. I rocked the motor back and forth to verify that cosmetic crack in the transom. Why can’t things just be easy. Feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts. Subscribe and share the adventure! With our maintenance work at Hawkes Boatyard complete, and with conditions finally improving, we leave Airlie Beach and head out to Little Black Reef (via Bait Reef) to make the most of a light-wind Easter weather window. We explore some new snorkelling spots and enjoy some great fishing. But did we stay too long? Music I Use: https://www.bensound.com/free-music-for-videos License code: SPCZEKXOKDIEJ0C3
In this video, I take my dog on his very first flight in a small airplane — and it was an unforgettable day. We flew from our local airport to a quiet grass runway in the countryside, the perfect destination for a peaceful hike. This was my dog's first time flying in a general aviation aircraft, and he handled it like a pro. Flying with pets is one of the best parts of being a private pilot, and today’s aviation adventure reminded me why I love it so much. From takeoff to touchdown, this flight had everything I enjoy about recreational flying — great weather, smooth air, and a four-legged co-pilot riding shotgun. Whether you're a fan of aviation content, dog adventures, or just enjoy relaxing pilot vlogs, I hope you enjoy this glimpse into a simple but meaningful trip. ✈️ Aircraft: [Insert your airplane model] 📍 Destination: Grass runway near [optional location] 🐾 Co-Pilot: Dog’s first flight — and definitely not the last If you're into flying dogs, grass strip landings, VFR cross-country flights, or life as a general aviation pilot, consider hitting that like button and subscribing for more! 👉 Subscribe for more flying adventures: [Your Channel Link] 📸 Follow me on Instagram: [Your IG Handle] #FlyingWithMyDog #DogFirstFlight #GrassRunwayLanding #GeneralAviation #SmallPlaneLife #PilotVlog #FlyingWithPets #PrivatePilot #AviationAdventure #RecreationalFlying #VFRFlight #DogLovers #AviationLifestyle #PilotLife #GrassStrip

Sailor Alex recounts his experience of being arrested in Tarrafal de Santiago, Cabo Verde, under circumstances he claim were misunderstood. Three months prior, they traveled from Tarrafal Cabo Verde to Dakar Senegal intending to repair his boat engine. After completing repairs, Alex had to leave Senegal by October 22 due to visa restrictions. He decided to sail to Cabo Verde for a brief trip to pick up his friend Wendy before embarking on an African journey with her. He brought three crew members on the journey. Two French world travelers and a Japanese cycling around Africa. On their arrival in Cabo Verde, local authorities insisted they must report to Praia for a formal check-in. Despite being assured by the local officials about the legality of their departure from Senegal, they were confronted by police who accused them of illegal entry and exit without proper documentation. The narrator tried to clarify their situation, showing valid stamps on their passports, but faced resistance from the police. Tensions escalated when the police refused to allow Sailor Alex to return to his boat to rest and recuperate from the tree day journey from Senegal. Frustrated and feeling unjustly treated, Sailor Alex attempted to leave the police presence, which led to a physical altercation. The police subsequently arrested him for resisting arrest, resulting in further distress and injury by putting him in jail for 24 hours until police were issued a search warrant to search his boat Ultimately, the police found nothing and Sailor Alex reflects on the unfolding events and the perception of injustice as he navigates the complex legal landscape in a foreign country. 00:00 Intro 00:17 Found what they needed 01:45 I go to jail 02:43 Got the search warrant 03:46 What are they looking for? 05:31 I'm a YouTuber not a narco 06:57 Where are they taking me? 08:04 Afraid to be free 09:16 Now what? 10:51 Next week Some say it’s The Best Sailing Channel on YouTube! We finally leave India and fly into London, ready to begin the first chapter of our European Vacation. The plan is to find a motorhome in under a week so we can hit the road and start exploring the UK and Europe properly. Magnus has been doing loads of research, so we’ve arrived with a shortlist of motorhomes to inspect and a rough idea of what our next Nutshell might be. Of course, travel has a way of surprising us. A last minute decision takes us to a mud marina, and suddenly we’re stepping aboard boats as well. It wasn’t part of the plan, but here we are looking at two possible future Nutshells and wondering if our European adventure is about to take a very unexpected turn. We’re torn between two completely different paths. Do we travel through Europe by road in warmth and comfort like we’d planned, or do we take a leap into boat life and rewrite the whole journey before it even begins It’s a genuine dilemma and one of the most decisions we’ve faced so far. We’re a bit lost. Come along as we try to make sense of it all and see how this story unfolds. As always, thanks for watching. Sailing vessel Tapatya Hazel goes sailing and I try to keep myself busy while I await the results of my doctor's check up. This is the story of SV Tapatya, a self-built, Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of our adventures as I live aboard, sail and strive to find out just what such a self-built, low-budget vessel is capable of. ► Friday, May 22. Arrival in Martinique. ► The last few days at sea have had a strange flavor. We know we’re getting close, yet everything seems to take longer. The wind has almost completely deserted us, so we’ve been motoring for the past three days, eager to finally catch sight of land. On board, we’ve had to get a little creative. There is still plenty of food left, but the “treat” supplies disappear quickly. With just a single egg, I still managed to make crêpes twice, and even a birthday cake in a saucepan for Jean-Luc! I had also hidden away a chocolate bar to save for the final days in case we ran out. I think it made a few people happy... ► Before entering Le Marin marina, everyone tidies themselves up, taking improvised showers from the boat’s transoms. Getting rid of that invisible layer of salt on your skin feels absolutely wonderful! Of course, that is precisely when a squall hits us while we’re lowering the mainsail. Suddenly, visibility drops to almost nothing. Dad handles it as he always does, on familiar ground here, at home. Then we spot the dock where we’re expected, the faces waiting on the quay - my mother, our friends. After days surrounded by nothing but water, seeing land again and being reunited with the people we love feels almost unreal. ► Sign up for our newsletter and win a free two-month subscription to Multihulls World by clicking here: https://bit.ly/48JP1Vk ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests! John Rose started sailing Snipes in 1948 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. That was right after World War II and people were just beginning to think about what they could do for fun. Over the next 10 years the fleet exploded from 8 boats to over 50 and John started winning races and then regattas in the mid-West. John's always loved wooden Snipes and he saw the change coming when the fiberglass Snipe was introduced in 1954. It took 13 years of constant development before the first glass boat won a National Championship in 1967. His love of wooden boats is still there. He worked hard to make the Wooden Snipe Rally at this year's Snipe Masters a success. There were wooden boats there that had been lovingly restored to better than new condition with owners who could tell you just exactly what the pedigree of their boat was and the changes from the original construction made to it over the years.
