Sailing around the Fiji Islands and spending time with the locals is really about being accepted into their family. It is an amazing and humbling experience. This is the real reason we do what we do. The rigger fixed the VHF connection at the top of the mast, the broken furler, and swapped out the hydraulic backstay adjuster in San Diego. Now it is time to get the boat back home. We stop by the fuel dock at harbor island and take on some diesel and then sail 83.5 nautical miles single handed to the Hen Rock anchorage at Catalina Island. The passage is fairly pleasant and without much drama beyond shipping traffic.

While conditions were forecast to be a brisk 15-20 knots, they were anything but this. After race one, the wind shut off for most of the afternoon before a light breeze filled in enabling two more races to sailed, finally completed at 1900 CET. Był to nasz pierwszy występ w TV! 😉 Ekipa Poranek WTK świetnie wszystko zorganizowała i choć fizycznie w różnych miejscach, ba!, krajach, to na 20min znaleźliśmy się w jednym studio 😉 Dziękujemy WTK za gościnę, przemiłą rozmowę i udostępnienie nam nagrania! Z uśmiechem na ustach czekamy na kolejne łączenia 🙂🙃 Rejs zaczynamy już za niecałe dwa miesiące❗️ Ilość spraw do domknięcia wciąż nie maleje. Atmosfera coraz bardziej gorąca, pomimo zimowej aury.
