Juli 2023: Am 22.7.2023 SA landeten morgens meine Söhne Simon, Elias und meine Nichte Carina im Preveza am Flughafen. Damit sie einen kurzen Weg vom Flughafen haben (5km 20 Euro Taxi) warteten wir (Luis & ich) in Preveza auf sie. Es war heiß und das Boot für 5 Personen schick zu machen, war sehr schweißtreiben ;) Als die Kinder ankamen starten wir um 10:35 Richtung Lefkas und motorten durch die Brücke nach Meganisi in die „Fisch-Bucht“. Dort grillten wir, schwammen mit den Fischen und genossen einen herrlichen Sonnenuntergang. 23. Juli 2023 Sonntag: wir Motoren nach Poros. Dort hatten wir das riesen Glück Delfine zu beobachten und sie begleiteten uns 45 Minuten lang direkt am Bug. Das sind immer magische und glücksbringende Momente und ich stelle im Lauf der Jahre fest, dass ich sie meistens mit meinen Kindern sehe. So oft, dass ich kaum noch an Zufall glaube ;) In Poros gingen wir in die tolle Felsenbar und hatten einen wirklich guten Abend. 24. Juli 203 Montag: morgens legten wir früh ab und warfen neben dem Hafen den Anker in dem wunderschönen türkisenem Wasser vor Poros. Dort badeten wir noch ausgiebig und starteten um 10:30 Richtung Ship-Wrack-Bay. Dort waren wir um 14:30 Uhr und hatten das leuchtend blaue Wasser und kaum andere Touristen um uns rum. Die obligatorischen Fotos wurden gemacht und danach segelten wir Richtung Süden von Zakynthos. Es war das erste mal schöner 13 kn Wind und wir kamen Raumwind gut voran. Um 19 Uhr ankerten wir in Keri im Schildkröten-Nationalpark. Gesamt waren wir 43 sm unterwegs. 25. Juli 2023 Dienstag: wir starteten früh und fuhren noch mal südlich um den Felsen und dann zu der Insel Marathonisi, wo wir ankerten und die Kinder mit dem Dinghi übersetzten. Schildkröten sahen sie leider nicht aber eine Grotte war zu erkunden. Weiter ging es, Zakynthos umrundend wieder in den Norden, wo wir bei großer Hitze um 17:30 am Kai von AG Nikolaus anlegten. Wir tankten dort und aßen in dem Restaurant des Marineros. Dafür kostete die Nacht nicht. Sonst hängen wir an einer Boje von Costa. Das würde ich zukünftig wieder bevorzugen. 26.7.23 MI: Um 9 Uhr starteten wir und hatten teilweise bis 20 kn Raumwind und segelten zur Insel Ithaka in die Bucht Pera Pigadi. Dort wollten wir eigentlich übernachten und lagen gut mit Landleine da. Leider kam der Wind stärker als angesagt von der Seite und der Anker hielt nicht. Wir packten sogar noch mal die Segel auf und ballerten mit Schräglage hoch noch Vathi. Die Wellen waren auch schon 1 m hoch ... In Vathi legten wir bei 1,9 m Wassertiefe vor dem Supermarkt an der Kaimauer an und kochten Lasagne. Lecker! 27.07.23 DO: es war Starkwind angesagt und ich bekam nur noch in Syvota einen Platz bei "the Cave" für 40 Euro. Draußen hatte es vom Vortag eine lange, hohe Welle und Carina wurde es sogar schlecht. Wind war wieder keiner. Syvota hat mir wieder gut gefallen und unsere kleine Familien-Crew hat es sich richtig gut gehen lassen. Prost. 28.07.23 FR: wir füllten noch das Wasser voll, ich proviantierte schon einiges für die nächsten Wochen mit Carlo und wir motorten noch mal zu der wunderschönen Abelaki-Bucht und es war noch mal herrlich zum Baden. Um 15:45 legten wir glücklich am Stadtkai von Nidri an, von dem wir leider verscheucht wurden. Conny hatte aber Gott sei dank weiter draußen noch ein Plätzchen für uns. So hatten wir Abends noch das quirlige Nachtleben von Nidri. Gesamt 181 sm davon leider nur 21,3 gesegelt 29.7.23 SA: ich lieh einen Leihwagen aus und mit dem fuhr ich morgens alle Kinder zum Flughafen, die mit dem Flieger heim flogen, mit dem Carlo kam. Wir trafen ihn sogar noch alle in der Halle und quatschten kurz noch zu 6. Als die Kinder eincheckten fuhren Carlo und ich glücklich zurück zu unsrem Schiff. Kauften vorher bei Lidl noch ein und starteten unser Abenteuer um den Peleponnes. For several years, she was lightly used and exceptionally well-maintained, a testament to her reliability and quality. In February 2020, she was purchased by her current owner, a retired Master Mariner with over 100,000 recorded sea miles on small vessels. With extensive experience in refits and factory supervision in Italy, France, and the Far East, as well as a rich background in cruising and ocean racing, he saw Moyo’s potential as a vessel capable of delivering exceptional cruising experiences. The new owner initially purchased Moyo with the intention of embarking on long voyages with his family. However, over time, the physical demands of extended cruising became more challenging than anticipated. Despite this, he committed himself to ensuring that Moyo was refitted to a high standard, transforming her into a vessel ready for comfortable and safe cruising on open waters. When Moyo was first acquired, she was a basic bare boat, ideal for chartering but lacking the features necessary for extended cruising. The owner embarked on a comprehensive refit to elevate her to a higher level of comfort. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Moyo was placed on the hard, where extensive maintenance was carried out. This included replacing the rudder and cutlass bearings, the engine dampener, and inspecting and servicing all through-hull fittings. Moyo was then antifouled with Joltron before being relaunched in May 2022. Following her relaunch, Moyo sailed around the islands, where her performance impressed her owner. She proved herself to be a stiff and steady vessel, performing exceptionally well under sail and power. Her Yanmar engine, which has just over 2,500 hours and underwent a major service in 2023, has proven both economical and reliable. All winches and the windlass were fully serviced to ensure seamless operation during every voyage. In 2024, the owner installed a solar power system designed to silently power both the 220v and 12v systems, including running the saloon air conditioning during peak sunlight. The system includes 600ah lithium p4 batteries, ready to be hooked up. Additionally, Moyo is equipped with an Onan 10kw generator, which has logged approximately 3,000 hours and serves as a reliable standby power source. To further enhance comfort and self-sufficiency, Moyo has been outfitted with new equipment, including: A water purifier, 7kg automatic washing machine, an ice maker, a coffee maker, HF radio, Tridata depth finder, Cobb stainless steel barbeque, Tuhatsu 9.9 hp, outboard engine (with less than 50 hours), a 10-man ocean life raft etc.. The five Jabsco heads onboard have also been serviced with new kits, and Moyo comes with an extensive array of tools, including a Makita battery drill, angle grinder, jigsaw, and vacuum cleaner. For future blue-water cruising, it is suggested to add a 12v water maker and update the plotter and radar for enhanced navigation. Nevertheless, Moyo is currently well-equipped for open-water cruising, ensuring both comfort and safety. Over the past two years, Moyo has been under the care of a professional captain for six months, with the owner himself also spending six months onboard to ensure her continued upkeep. Moyo is not a vessel meant to sit in a marina for extended periods—she was built for the open seas, and now, as the owner moves on, Moyo is ready for a new owner to take her on fresh adventures. Her history of care, upgrades, and readiness for the sea makes Moyo an ideal vessel for her next voyage, awaiting her new chapter with the wind in her sails. Cette coque #29 de 2012 a en effet passé 4 mois au chantier de Monfalcone, en Italie, pour suivre un refit intégral mené par le constructeur lui-même : contrôle de la structure et du mât, reprise éventuelle des cloisons, remplacement des moteurs, des voiles, de l’électricité, de la plomberie, de l’électronique, des vaigrages, de la sellerie etc., rien n’a échappé aux experts de Lagoon ! Mieux : le catamaran repeint en bleu Star & Stripes dispose désormais de panneaux solaires, d’un parc de batteries lithium, d’une climatisation basse consommation et d’un traitement des eaux usées. Le coût de ce refit plus que complet (il existe quatre packs) est de l’ordre de 800 k€ pour une unité qui se négocie sur le marché de l’occasion à partir de 1 300 k€. Moving from where we purchased our boat to where we are keeping it while we learn to sail.

We were welcomed with open arms in Phulanga and adopted into a Fijian family. It's the village tradition and felt wonderful.

Lanzarote laid on superb conditions for day two of the RC44 Calero Marinas Cup under brilliant sunshine and winds that started in the sub-10 range before building solidly into the 20s, making for a spectacular action-packed third and final race.  Torbjörn Törnqvist’s Artemis Racing claimed the opening race after tactician Andy Horton correctly called the favourable left side of the course, just as he did in yesterday’s first race. Conditions had built for race two which turned into a heavyweight bout between Vladimir Prosikhin’s Team Nika and Nico Poons’ Charisma. Nika led around the first lap but Charisma had edged ahead by the end of the second beat and maintained their lead to the finish. Pundits noted that the match racing between the two boats may have been fuelled by some rivalry between the tacticians– former Emirates Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker calling the shots on Team Nika and his former tactician Ray Davies in this position on Charisma.  The RC44 Calero Marinas Cup will take place over 28 February until 4 March and will pit the world's top businessmen and the best sailors in the industry compete in high-performance one-design 44-foot carbon racing yachts.
