Mit gutem Sonnenschutz und viel Trinkwasser im Gepäck wandern wir hoch zum Mirador Punta Rotja, von dem aus wir eine atemberaubende Aussicht haben und die faszinierenden Felsformationen bestaunen. Ein anstrengender Aufstieg, der sich aber absolut lohnt. Den Rest von Menorca heben wir uns für den Rückweg durch das Mittelmeer auf. Wir müssen unbedingt die Wetterfenster nutzen, um nach Griechenland zu kommen. An unforgettable day on Menorca. With good sun protection and plenty of drinking water in our luggage, we hike up to the Mirador Punta Rotja, from where we have a breathtaking view and marvel at the fascinating rock formations. A strenuous climb, but absolutely worth it. We save the rest of Menorca for the way back through the Mediterranean. We absolutely have to take advantage of the weather windows to get to Greece.

iFLY Foiling Days New Zealand (16 Jan – 14 Feb 2026) In this session the iFLY RAZZOR Pro is sailed in strong, unstable winds with an increasing sea state, where steep chop and cross-waves place continuous load on foils, rig and helmsman. The boat is set up in a high-wind configuration, using a 7.5 m high-wind mainsail on the 8.5 m mast — a deliberate choice to reduce aerodynamic load while preserving balance and control at speed. Combined with the RAZZOR Pro’s active main-foil rake control (MDT), this setup allows precise management of lift and righting moment as gust intensity and surface disturbance increase. These are not beginner conditions. This footage shows the iFLY at the demanding end of its operating envelope, requiring experience, anticipation and refined trim technique. This is a Hatha yoga session designed to be done just after waking up, while you are still in bed. There is no gear you need at all, just enough space and maybe shuffle blankets and cushions out of the way. Its a great way to start the day by gently moving the body, getting the blood and lymphatic system going, connecting in with your breath and set a positive intention for the day. If you have essential oils at home, choose an uplifting oil, such as citrus, mint or flower oil. I choose the doTERRA Easy Air Touch roller, as it wakes up the respiratory system and gives me a real clear head. This practice should be accessible for most bodies, but if anything does feel painful or inaccessible, just wait that pose out or change for a different pose you enjoy. Despite COVID 19, this year’s Alexander Marine Whitsunday Get Together was a huge success. Though the borders were still closed and only Queenslanders could attend (other than a handful of interstate people who were in Qld before the borders were closed and have not returned to their home state) we had a great number of party people spread onboard the various boats. This year the event was a European Beach club theme named ‘Le Club AMA’ named after the popular St Tropez beach club ‘Le Club 55’, promoting our 26R Beach Club and considering no Australian’s can currently travel to Europe at the moment we thought we would bring Europe to the Whitsundays onboard our stunning vessels. We departed Hamilton Island just after 11am with guests onboard and headed for Cid Harbour where we met our fellow raft up participants which included the Galeon 640, Ocean Alexander 26R, our brokerage vessel 92ft Custom Long Range Expedition Motor Yacht ‘Texas T’ (kindly loaned to us as a host vessel), Palm Beach 65 ‘Rena G’ and a Cabo 52 Express ‘Chainsaw’. There was an abundant amount of food coming out of the galley of ‘Texas T’ prepared by our Swedish Chef Mathias Andersson who has worked in Michelin star restaurants around the world (he catered for our event last year) and the drinks we were flowing with Aperol Spritzs and Malfi Italian gin on offer, guests danced the night away to the DJ’s tunes and seductive Saxophone sounds. The event wrapped up around 7pm and all guests were returned safely to the Hamilton Island Dock. Alinghi wins the GC32 Lagos Cup 1 after a dominant final day in strong breeze and dramatic conditions. With the wind gusting close to 25 knots and sometimes arriving with little warning, Red Bull Sailing Team was caught out and nosedived alarmingly, resulting in a capsize.

The Irish Sailing Passport is an online skills tracking, certification and logbook system which uses the Checklick platform. Passport allows new skills to be tracked as you progress through your course so you can check in at any stage to see what you’ve achieved and the other skills you’ll cover. Your Irish Sailing Passport will also allow you to move easily between Irish Sailing Training Centres when doing courses if you sail in different locations. Any certificates you have achieved are available and saved on your profile meaning no more worries about replacing lost certificates. Your Passport also allows you to log additional activities to help you track your experience as you develop your skills.
