Wir sind in Korfu, Lakka und Mongonissi Beach auf Paxos, befahren den Levkada Kanal, ankern in einer Bucht südlich von Nydri, in einer Bucht auf Meganisi und vor Poros Beach im Süden von Levkada bevor es via Parga wieder zurück nach Korfu City geht. We are in Corfu, Lakka and Mongonissi Beach on Paxos, pass the Levkada Channel, anchor in a bay south of Nydri, in a bay on Meganisi and in front of Poros Beach in the south of Levkada before returning to Corfu City via Parga.

We cruised our classic wooden sailboat Julia to many spectacular anchorages on Nuku Hiva and Hiva Oa. This is south pacific sailing as we have always dreamed it would be. The spectacular green scenery of the Marquesas has overwhelmed us with soaring cliffs, beautiful beaches, and swaying palm trees. Julia is an Ingrid Ketch, designed by William Atkin and built in 1960. She is a traditionally built wooden boat, fir planking on oak frames. Our dinghy is skin on frame, designed by Dave Gentry. We had the privilege to participate in a Scientific Expedition, led by Sandra Bessudo, Director of the Malpelo Foundation/Colombia. Conditions were great, masses of Hammerhead sharks, Silkies, Galapagos sharks and even a Whale shark was present.

In this episode we put the Mirror Dinghy up against the Catamaran and find out that the Mirror Dinghy sails up wind better than the catamaran. Newbie wannabe pirates invest in a few boats, we have a Mirror Dinghy, Bruce Roberts 34, Top Hat 25 Mk1, Timber Hull 23 Alan Rice, and a 14 foot Catamaran which we are repairing, sailing around going on adventures. We are based in Adelaide, South Australia and are new to sailing so we are learning as we go, what an amazing ride stay tuned as we get up to mischief, have a laugh and go on some crazy adventures. Nous sommes à Hirifa au sud de l'atoll de Fakarava pour nous protéger des forts vents du sud-est (appelés "maramu" en tahitien). Quand on vit sur un bateau dans des endroits isolés, on devient de plus en plus autonome : tout est "fait maison"... Nous nous mettons même à fabriquer propre alcool ! 😊 Une recette reçue d'un ami navigateur, testée et approuvée 👍 Bon, il faut avouer que ça ne vaut pas un bon ptit punch ou un bon verre de vin rouge mais ce n'est pas mauvais 😋 A préciser que n'est pas de la distillation mais de la fermentation, on obtient une boisson légèrement alcoolisée qui ne donne pas de maux de tête le lendemain 😋 Santé !
