Hello Everyone! Here it is! A tour of our beautiful home and all of her special features:) Hope you enjoy it and let us know what you think!! We give an in depth DETAILED show of the boat and our favorite areas. The boat was built in 1987 by Tradewinds in the Young Sun shipyard in Taiwan. The deck length is 42.7, but with the bow sprit and dingy davits on the stern it has an overall length of 50’. It has a fiberglass hull, about an inch thick with teak exterior and interior. Our dad had taken some really good jobs, and with the money he was making/ saving he wanted to buy his dream sailboat and sail around the pacific. He had researched for a few years, multiple yards, on the best built boats specific to the sailing he wanted to do. He also wanted to take possession of the boat after it was completed at the yard rather than it being delivered to the USA first, which most companies required. He had certain specifications on the layout of the boat, like the extra head in the back rather than another birth, the thick reinforced stainless steal dingy davits on the stern, as well as a few smaller things. We had a lot of fun making our video and hope you have just as much fun watching it. My truck makes a terrible clunking sound when changing gears. Here I am shifting from park to drive and back. I'm in 2wd. I don't know what it is. Any help would be appreciated. Also sometimes it clicks when I'm driving uphill. It's a 1998 Suburban, K1500, 5.7L, 4L60e, 177k miles

We desperately needed to replace our tiny little Bimini on the fly bridge on our Lagoon 450 catamaran, so when we started designing our new hard top, we decided that we would try get as many solar panels as we could up there. But instead of building the hard top them mounting the panels on top, we would make the frame then use the panels themselves to make the hard top. This would bring our total solar power capacity to 3kW on the boat! This option would save us thousands of dollars, and also leave us a little more head room, as the boom would end up very close to the hard top. The panels were given to us as a gift by Curtis from www.sunbeam-energy.com. Amongst all of the work, there were also definitely some shenanigans, where we met up with 4 other YouTube sailing channels for a bit of a party! Heute kann man die biozide Wirkung von Kupfer als Antifouling auf elegantere Weise nutzen. Und das hat in Form von CopperCoat für uns ausschließlich Vorteile. Welche das sind, erfährst Du im Video. Das alte Antifouling ist schon runter (letztes Video #8) und jetzt wird es Zeit, die neue Beschichtung aufzubringen. Mit CopperCoat haben wir bisher nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht, auch auf unserem ehemaligen kleineren Segelboot, der Marie, die wir verkauft haben. Das Aufbringen ist allerdings schon 5 Jahre her und seitdem musste der Rumpf nur mal gereinigt werden, als sie sowieso für die Einwinterung an Land gestellt wurde. Unsere 7seas soll ja dauerhaft im Wasser bleiben, deshalb haben wir nach einer Möglichkeit gesucht, Osmose vorzubeugen. Es war viel Arbeit, das CopperCoat selbst aufzubringen, allerdings lohnt es sich tatsächlich. Nach Abschluss der Arbeiten wurde die 7seas noch ins Wasser gebracht (endlich) und wir haben den Mast gestellt. Das Video dient nicht komplett als Anleitung für CopperCoat, deckt aber schon viele Infos ab von Vorbereitung bis hin zum Anschleifen. Meet Maya, Aladino, and Magic Carpet. We all ended up together because of 1) a tragic accident, 2) an amazing miracle, and 3) an inspirational mentor. Here's how it all began. Aladino and I met in summer 2017. He was sailing his boat in the Mediterranean, and I was working on a boat in the same area. We fell in love, and are now finishing work on Magic Carpet, a Vindo 32 which we plan to sail around the world (slowly). This channel will tell the story of the restoration and the sailing trip to follow. The thing is, the story of how we ended up in the same place at the same time is full of some pretty amazing details. Three pivotal things happened. Without these things, we never would have met. 1) Aladino biked the length of a continent, and met an old man who became his mentor and changed his life. 2) Maya was given a boat at age 18, for $1, from some random strangers she still hasn't met 3) A gorgeous sailboat fell 20ft from a crane onto concrete, and was destroyed (at first). Well, we are Kate and Curtis. We both sold up and headed out to sea, with the goal of sailing around the world via Cape Horn and the Cape of Good Hope. We brought our mixed rescue dog along with us as she loves sailing and swimming too! Our boat is a year 2000 J Boats J/46. We searched for 3 years for our perfect sailboat for sale, when we found it, we knew it was the one. We spent 6 months re-fitting it in Rhode Island and then went for our shakedown voyage in Maine. We stopped in Annapolis for a bit to do some more refit work and offshore modifications, then we set off to the open sea. We went to the Bahamas, Miami, US Virgin Islands, BVI, Grenada, Carriacou, St. Maarten, where we enjoyed outdoor adventures, scuba diving, and have now did an Atlantic Crossing to the Azores where we had a chance to fly our DJI drone (and learned how to fly a drone from a boat) and one of our favorite past times, mountain biking. We have sailed over 10,000 bluewater miles to date. We watched other sailing channels before we left as well. We even considered van life, a tiny home, or a motorhome / rv. Some of the channels we enjoyed were Gone with the Wynns, Project Atticus, and MJ Sailing. We didn't really set out to be influencers, but we wanted to return the good karma and pass our inspiration and knowledge along. My main goal in going to traid fairs like boot in Duesseldorf is to find new innovative solution to old problems. This Sirius 40DS was a very welcome find in this category! Made for bluewater cruising it is choke full of details making it most suited for long passages and live on board. Being a deckssalon it can can keep you warm and dry in any weather. Several separate living spaces are well suited for people living in close quarters for long stretches of time. A don't get me started on the integrated workbench! Performance data in the description. As the first luxury yacht manufacturer, we are now combining the power of the sun as well as the wind to provide an even more eco-friendly cruising experience. Here you see our SILENT 60 #1 equipped with a 9m2 kite system. When testing the 9m2 kite at wind angles of up to 40 degrees, with the engines turned off and no propellers turning, the SILENT 60 effortlessly reached speeds between 4 and 5 knots. Under the same conditions, when switching on the electric motors to draw just 1kW each to reduce drag from the propellers and improve the flow of water over the rudders for better steering, speeds could be increased to almost 7 knots. A big advantage of a kite compared to a conventional sail is, that the kite flies at much higher altitudes where winds are far stronger. In addition, there is no need of a tall and heavy mast with a complex rigging system. The kite including its electrical winch, as well as its short and collapsible mast can be easily stored in a dedicated locker under a hatch on the foredeck for whenever it is not in use. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull. At some point an inspection was done, insurance was called and decisions were made.
