Here is the first Skoota 32 powercat being built in foam sandwich at Jacktar Boatworks, Cornwall https://www.jacktarsboatworksltd.com/ The Skoota 32 is a semi displacement powercat suited for a liveaboard cruising couple. Narrow enough to fit down the French canals. Seaworthy enough to go anywhere, fuel range permitting. The videos shows the port hull, working aft: Office space, workshop, spare bunk. then galley up and big saloon. Starboard hull is the owners side. Double bunk forward, then heads and shower compartments aft. Other layouts are feasible Launching will be in 2018. Plans are available for building the boat yourself. In the Northern Sea of Cortez, we set off for what we think will be an easy overnight sail, but with much stronger winds than forecasted, our passage quickly turns into a rough, choppy ride, complete with engine trouble. Finally, we arrive into Puerto Refugio, and it truly is a place of refuge, and one of the most beautiful spots in the Sea.
