More than a decade after my first trip to Catalina, I finally make my way to Cat Harbor. In this episode, Keeldragger and Ohana take a solo/buddy-boat adventure to the back side of the island. Winds are light, but I'm finally able to break out the asym spinnaker and sail on a broad reach. We contemplate anchoring vs. trying up to a mooring.

In this episode; Well Guatemala continues to challenge us as you will see in part 2 of our arrival at the Rio Dulce. We were lucky to have this unique footage to put into an episode. In times of stress and danger picking up the camera to try and capture the action is not high on our minds. Keeping us and the boat safe is always the priority. Luckily young Braiden was there to pick up the camera and follow the action as it unfolded. It's a little rough and bouncy at times because the action was fast and furious, but he did a pretty good job and thanks to his help, the story you are about to watch is pretty exciting and probably not something you get to see everyday Lol! Reality TV for sure. It doesn't get much more real. My audio editing is a little off in the episode because my blue snowflake brand microphone has recorded it's last episode and I have been having trouble finding a new one. Continuando na beira do rio, em Navegantes, estou tendo bastante dificuldades para trabalhar ao ar livre, os dias estão bastante chuvosos além da umidade relativa do ar está muito alta. Estou outuno de 2019 tem sido realmente muito chuvoso aqui no sul do Brasil. Neste momento estamos sob a influência de uma frente estacionária, que literalmente estacionou, bem em cima do nordeste de SC. O Diogo veio me ajudar e pintamos algumas partes do barco com o verdugo e o finca pé, utilizando verniz sintético para madeira marrom tabaco. Isso vai proteger a madeira além de ficar com a cor da madeira. Uma outra aternativa seria ter deixado na madeira e aplicar óleo de linhaça por exemplo, ou impregnar com resina epóxi e posteriomente verniz PU. a problemática do óleo de linhaça é que vou ter que ficar reaplicando (manutenções...) e a questão do verniz PU com o tempo fica fosco, tem que lixar tudo e reaplicar (mais manutenções). Esta pode não ser a solução mais nobre para o tratamento da madeira mas com certeza é muito eficaz. E Bóra prá água que não está fácil este tempo!

Ganz am Ende von Kekova, kurz vor Demre, liegt die Schmugglerbucht in einer atemberaubenden Inselwelt. Das Smuggler's Inn ist ein kleines Restaurant, eigentlich eine kleine Bretterbude. Die Betreiber, ein junges Paar, hatten zwar die Saison noch nicht eingeläutet, trotzdem bereiteten sie uns abends ein wirklich tolles Essen zu. Gegrillten Fisch und dazu sehr, sehr leckere Vorspeisen. Eine perfekte Bucht mit herrlich türkisfarbenen Wasser, um die ersten Stehversuche auf dem neuen SUP zu machen. Mit mal mehr, mal weniger Erfolg.
