Leaving Kioni, Greece, the coolest place we've ever been by boat, we head for the Gulf of Corinth, on our way to cross over to the Aegean side of the Greek Islands.

I'm a Canadian photographer from Ottawa who got rid of everything to travel the world. I make vlogs sharing my ups and downs, and my adventures in vans, on motorbikes, and on sailboats. - Who is Champ? Champ is my handsome 14-year-old Labrador, who travelled almost everywhere with me for his whole life. He loves chin scratches, fetching sticks, and scarfing down cheeseburgers and pizza. - What camera equipment do you use? I use a Panasonic FZ2500, a DJI Mavic Pro, a Rode video micro with Deadcat, a Zihyun Crane 3 Axis Gimbal, as well as DIY tripods and lights. - What are your vehicles? I drove a 1992 Dodge Ram B350 camper van all over North America for about two years. Travelling by motorcycle made for some unique trips. I explored the Canadian Maritimes (and deserts and backroads all over the continent) on a 2002 Kawasaki KL250 Super Sherpa dual sport bike, and also rode my 1999 Yamaha V-Star XVS1100 cruiser with a Champion Escort sidecar across my home country twice. From land to water travels: I currently live and work on a 1979 Wharram Oro 47 catamaran. - What are your plans with the boat? I will fix it up, run it on nothing but green electric power, and sail off into the sunset. Stay tuned for the growing build and the adventures to come! - How do you find all these cool places we see in the videos? To gain access to my complete research and the world traveller’s map I curate during my explorations off the beaten path, you need to hit me up on Patreon. Here are a few websites I frequent: https://freecampsites.net/, https://www.campendium.com/, http://www.atlasobscura.com/, https://www.couchsurfing.com/ - How do you afford your lifestyle? I live and travel economical by using free camping and mooring, cooking my own meals, thoroughly researching products and how-to’s online, practicing a DIY approach, and being as efficient as possible with my resources. I've struggled financially for most of my life, and although I'm blessed with helpful friends and family as well as being able-bodied, white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to pursue your passion. So, I learned that you DO need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, and a traditional career but that it IS possible, worth it, and the only lifestyle that makes me happy. I make my income almost entirely by creating content for YouTube, but it's a tight budget. Ad revenue, business sponsors, affiliate links, Patreon, Paypal donations, and merchandise sales bring in about as much as a part-time job, and I'm able to make that work. When it isn't enough, I go back to regular work such as photography, videography or construction, but that takes the focus away from my own projects. - How does your dog fit into this lifestyle? It's really not as difficult as people seem to think. I spend most of the day with Champ anyways, since we enjoy similar things, like eating food and being outdoors. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make decisions about where I go and what I do, so I avoid places that ban dogs, and therefore spend more time in nature instead of in cities. - How do you make it work as a digital nomad? My electrical power set-up allows charging my camera and laptop to film and edit almost daily. For Internet access quick and reliable enough to upload my episodes a few at a time, I use coffee shops and libraries. I also use a data package on my phone (10GB), a WiFi antenna, and a WiFi booster.

My visit in Switzerland is not over. There is more food follies and festival fun to eat up. La Fête des Vignerons, a festival that happens every 20 years cant be summed up in one episode. You'll go backstage and meet star cows getting milked. A nighttime Pagan parade. Even a bit of Charlie Chaplin. I may have been landlocked and now back to the island of Sao Vicente to begin new adventures in Cape Verde. Please make your voice heard: Subscribe, like, dislike, or comment. In the last video I published about Lürssen I was privileged to join the finalists of BOAT INTERNATIONAL's Young Designer of the Year Award as they toured one of Lürssen's amazing facilities. In this episode we completed the tour and joined a host of Captains and other industry professionals who were delighted to let their hair down and enjoy a day of parties and water sports.

Last time we left off with our departure from Waterford in southern Ireland, with the goal to head 60 miles to the town of Arklow...and entering the Irish Sea in the process. The predicted winds which were supposed to carry us had disappeared, but just to get the miles under our belt, we motored on anyway. In Arklow we were pleasantly surprised by not only what a cute town it was...but a few beautiful sunny days after our arrival. We did wait out some rain and swells rolling in while north winds kept us from continuing on, and on our last night we were taken to a local brewery by one of our followers that stopped by to say hi. Next stop....Scotland and the Caledonian Canal!! Much love from Ireland! Jessica, Matt & Georgie Thank you SO MUCH to our Patrons. WE| Sail to Turks & Caicos. Unfortunately, due to some computer troubles we had to skip over an episode (Puerto Rico Part II). Stay tuned, however for the passage from Puerto Rico to Turks will premier as soon as we get our computer fixed. Until then, WE sail to Turks & Caicos making it just in time to welcome our friends aboard. This time we have two couples joining the adventure for a couple weeks. Sadly, the weather in Turks didn't quite hold up to its reputation of always sunny. For the first week in Turks, we experience a very scary close encounter with a lightning storm. We set sail with our friends and immediately find ourselves in a squall. We experience a few days of rainy weather and not many days of actual sailing, but it was always fun visiting and spending time with our friends on the boat. Later, when the weather cleared, We finally go exploring. We visit a shipwreck off the windward side of the island and even have the local dolphins come visit to boat! Thanks for watching the adventures of WE! Enjoy For more WE|Sail excitement, check out our website https://www.wesail.world OR our killer Instagram photos. @we_sailaway OR even better... consider being our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/WEsail

Fellow boaters - I'm thrilled to share my latest project with you: MaintenanceROS! Crafted from my experiences aboard Starry Horizons, it's designed to simplify vessel and maintenance management, making life on the water even more enjoyable. Explore https://MaintenanceROS.com and enjoy an exclusive 20% discount for the first 6 months using promo code 'outchasingstars'. Seamlessly manage your boat's upkeep – let's embark on this journey together! ***** Having guests visit is always a blast, especially when those guests are so interested in the realities of cruising life. Our friends Denitsa and Niki actually VOLUNTEERED (well... one of them volunteered the other) to help out with boat projects. I couldn't pass up an offer like that, so together, we crossed a big item off the to-do list. Not to worry though, it wasn't all work on their visit. We had lots of fun too; exploring Langkawi, celebrating American Thanksgiving, teaching them how to paddleboard and taking them snorkeling for the first time. Our fishing adventures were slightly less successful, but we did manage to catch something (spoiler alert... it was trash. 😢) and even get the sails up for a little while. All in all, it was an action packed week and I don't think we scared them off the cruising life too badly! Thanks for watching!

This week we sail from Slano to Split over 3 days. We are fortunate that there is strong wind from Korcula which makes for a fun fast sail to Split. Day 1 we tack from Slano to Korcula for over 11 hours and we enjoy the challenge of mixed wind. We love being on the water, so no complaints here! We anchor in Korcula at Racisce and it's nice to get some rest after a long day on the water. Day 2 is a 50 nm sail from Korcula to Brac. We begin the day early and experience 30 knot winds for a couple of hours before it settles to 20 knots and with a mild sea state the sailing conditions are excellent. We originally want to stop at Hvar or the Pakleni Islands however the anchorages are crowded. We decide on Uvala Smka, an anchorage on Brac Island with an old submarine garage which is perfect for the night. Day 3 is a 20nm sail from Brac to Split. Like the day before we are fortunate to experience great winds, blowing between 20 and 25 knots. The reason we are in such a rush is because there are no winds predicted in the following 4 days and we are meeting Trace's brother Jason, so we are eager to get there. There are few anchorages in Split but find a great spot off Luka Poljud which is a 10 minute walk to the old town, PERFECT! About us: Our names are Jason and Tracey and we traded our house, cars, business, job and security for freedom, adventure, travel and living simply amongst nature and the seas on our 45 foot Hanse 445 sailing boat, Kawai. We don't know exactly where the winds will take us at this stage but over the next year we hope to sail to Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia. Jase loves making travel videos and we decided to upload to youtube to share our adventure. We really hope you enjoy and feel free to drop us a comment any time to chat or subscribe to follow along :) Instagram Jason: https://www.instagram.com/jase_stephens1/?hl=en Tracey: https://www.instagram.com/trace_y02/?hl=en Music: 1. Following the exhilarating encounter with Mount Etna, your Helicopter city tour flight over the blue sky that illuminates Taormina gracefully continues on top of the enchanting landscape of the bays of Taormina. The aerial perspective provides a bird's-eye view of the renowned Greek Theatre, a testament to ancient architectural mastery nestled against the backdrop of the Sicilian coastline. The amphitheater, with its ancient allure, stands as a silent witness to centuries of history, inviting reflection on the cultural legacy embedded in the Sicilian soil. As the helicopter glides over Taormina, the visual spectacle extends to the picturesque bays that grace the shoreline. Each bay tells a story of tranquility and coastal beauty, where the turquoise waters gently embrace the rugged coastline. The flight then unveils the captivating charm of the "Isola Bella," a small island off the coast of Taormina that epitomizes the Mediterranean sea idyll. The panoramic views from the helicopter capture the essence of this enchanting isle, inviting admiration for its pristine beaches and lush vegetation. This Taormina Helicopter Tour becomes a canvas on which the diverse landscapes and historical treasures of Mount Etna and Taormina unfold, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to experience this aerial odyssey. The flight tour may be performed by the use of two helicopters with a sequence of touch & go (up to 150 participants!). The 20-minute flight is carried out with one or two Ecureuil AS 350 plus the Airbus H130 with a maximum capacity of 5/6 guests each. Considering, for example, a group of 50 guests, the total schedule will be of 60 min including the time for boarding and get off of each group of ten guests. The event can be combined with a fine typical Food and Wine tasting in one of the most prestigious wineries in the neighborhood. But this is only a pattern of all the many choices to tailor an unforgettable day on Etna. An event absolutely unparelled opportunity for a tailor made event.  The best thing to do, a top choice for the top MICE travel agency. Reserved for top elite groups. In conclusion, this Helicopter Flight on Taormina transcends mere sightseeing, offering an emotional transformative encounter with the geological wonders of Mount Etna and the cultural riches of Taormina. From the lunar landscapes of the volcano's summit to the ancient splendor of the Greek Theatre and the coastal charm of "Isolabella," each moment is a testament to the boundless beauty that Sicily proudly shares with those who seek an unforgettable aerial adventure.

Watch the drama unfold as we face down F7 gusts on our approach to Dover and navigate port control in one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Meanwhile disaster strikes when an obscene quantity of diesel starts pooling at the bottom of the engine. There are many examples of how we can get closer to the heart through the use of language. But we have heard little about local examples of efforts to teach another language through a performing experience.

"Reposado II" is a 2019 Lagoon 450-F configured in the 3 cabin owners’ version with flybridge. The most unique feature of this version is that it has a main stateroom that spans the entire starboard hull providing a spacious, private and very comfortable apartment that can be closed off from the rest of the yacht. Families that charter enjoy having the comforts of a private master suite with an oversized bathroom. Additionally, the starboard and port points are finished with quarters for a charter captain and crew, and a double berth feature can be fitted in the saloon for additional guests if needed. To sum things up, Reposado II can accommodate 10 guests comfortably. Reposado II is equipped with a powerful, but quiet and easy to manage generator that supplies power for electronic devices: Wi-Fi router, lighting, numerous USB ports, A/C and climate controls, two refrigerators, large freezer, microwave oven, water maker, electric toilets, and hot water heater. These features bode well with charterers, as guests enjoy the comfort of having a home away from home and access to the internet and communications capabilities while visiting the BVIs. One feature that the owners and guests appreciate the most is the Water Maker. The Lagoon factory- installed water maker can produce approximately 25 gals of fresh water from sea water per hour. For more information about this vessel, please click here: https://www.catamarans.com/catamaran-charter/Lagoon-450-Reposado-II/ * Photos courtesy of the boat owners and Nicolas Claris.

By Sailing Quarterly producers, Rob and Dee Dubin. After filming for 6 years and 24 episodes, in 1995 the Dubins purchased a new bluewater cruising boat, "Ventana" - an Island Packet 40. They outfitted her with many of the gear and customizations featured in the series. In this video, the Dubins give you a tour above and below decks, describing boat construction, sails, rigging, ground tackle, and other gear and features they selected. Regardless of the boat you decide on, you'll find their advice extremely helpful. *********************************************************************** INCLUDED WITH A SAILFLIX SUBSCRIPTION https://www.sailflix.com/outfitting-the-ideal-cruising-sailboat *********************************************************************** SEE HOW IT ALL WORKED OUT! In 1996, the Dubins embarked on a 17 year, 50,000 mile circumnavigation. On January 18, 2012 they crossed our previous outbound track in the Caribbean. Visit the Ventana Voyage website for the story of their sailing adventures and a wealth of knowledge of cruising the world. https://www.ventanasvoyage.com Watch more Sailing Quarterly Master Collection videos on SailFlix. https://www.sailflix.com ABOUT ROB & DEE DUBIN Rob & Dee were married in 1982 and at that time Dee discontinued her job as a condominium construction superintendent and joined Rob in his company, Alpine Film Productions. Over the next 15 years they produced hundreds of TV commercials, television programs, corporate films and sports documentaries. With Dee working as a Producer and Rob as a Director/Cameraman they traveled throughout the world for clients such as ABC, NBC, CBS, ESPN, The Travel Channel and many Fortune 500 companies. In 1989 they launched Sailing Quarterly Video Magazine, a videotape series covering the sport of sailing.  In the process of videotaping these programs the Dubins learned sailing from their program hosts including America's  Cup veteran  Gary Jobson and ocean veterans Tristan Jones, Hal  Roth, Don Street, John Rousmanierre, Robert Perry and others. Spending 10 -15  days of each month on the water from 1989 - 1995  the Dubins had the opportunity to sail on hundreds of boats from Tonga to Norway, Romania to New Zealand. The boats  included typical charter boats to circumnavigators to America's Cup and Whitbread racers resulting in a broad experience covering all aspects of the fascinating sport of sailing. In 1995 the Dubins put down the cameras sold the house, bought a new boat and began to live the life they had been filming.
