There's more than 600 miles of this spectacular shoreline, extending from the province of Antalya in the south to the Cesme peninsula in the north including Bodrum, Gocek, Marmaris, Fethiye. Less crowded than Santorini and St. Tropez and considerably more affordable, Bodrum remains blessedly free of the kind of overtourism that comes with cruise ship day-trippers, since its port can accommodate just two large ships -- and infrequently sees those. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make decisions about where I go and what I do, so I avoid places that ban dogs, and therefore spend more time in nature instead of in cities. - How do you make it work as a digital nomad? My electrical power set-up allows charging my camera and laptop to film and edit almost daily. For Internet access quick and reliable enough to upload my episodes a few at a time, I use coffee shops and libraries. I also use a data package on my phone (10GB), a WiFi antenna, and a WiFi booster.

Aquarius was fitted with an Echo Pilot 2D forward looking sonar. We use the Echo Pilot every time we are close to shore, or in areas with a depth less than 30 to 40 meters. The Echo Pilot has saved us from hitting the reef two times, and made us feel safe while anchoring, and moving the boat in shallow waters. After working full time for 5 weeks straight on our hurricane damaged catamaran, grinding fibreglass in the Guatemalan heat, we take a well deserved boys trip to El Tunco, in El Salvador, where we make a bunch of new friends and surf local spots Bocana, Bocanita, Sunzal and Punta Roca. We then get back to Rio Dulce and rent motorbikes for the day and blast around to different waterfalls and local villages. SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged 2012 Lagoon 450 Catamaran bought in Tortola, BVI at the beginning of 2018. Ci sono voluti 12 anni per realizzarlo e fu aperto per la prima volta nel 1893. Il canale consente di risparmiare fino a 700 km di viaggio intorno alla penisola del Peloponneso. Someone dropped their wedding ring while patting dust off of themselves while on the dock! Seriously?! The paint stripper worked really well but Brittany had a hard time controlling it. We continue sanding the interior down to prep for repaint of our #Sailing #Trimaran. The Bilgekote was really expensive so we're still not sure what we want to paint the interior of the boat with. Shaun spent the first night "camping" on White Shark since the drive is 2 hours round trip and our days have been limited by other activities. We ended up making it down on Sunday for a few hours as well. Brittany of course gave up after a while and took a nap on the deck of the boat with our dog Cal. The passage to New Zealand from the Pacific Islands is reputedly one of the more difficult yacht passages regularly attempted by cruising yachts - and having done it - we agree - it rates up there in our top 3 worst passages ever! We set off from Minerva reef two days south of Tonga in the company of about 10 other yachts. We faced several issues including head winds, a ripped genneka, huge current against us, medical issues and lack of diesel (human error). We were saved by our friends on the yacht Boag by a mid - ocean diesel transfer - no easy feat! After trials, tribulations, freezing cold and the odd whale we did finally arrive back in the land of the long white cloud - our homeland - Aotearoa, after sailing 17,000 miles halfway around the world - we made it!! What an amazing sense of achievement, and an epic party was held on the Quarantine dock in Opua to mark the occasion! We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures! Our sail around the world we sail down the canals of France we begin the understand why other sailors choose to do this trip in the summer. So far we have had a lot of rain, lock which aren't working and ultimately lost our drone to the canals! So far we haven't seen a single other sailboat and therefore all the ports are closed. This means we go days without showering. Luckily the beautiful scenery makes this all worth while and we continue to push south in the hopes of finding better weather. In this episode I show you how I repaired the fibreglass bow damage with epoxy resin, tried to fix a toilet leak and found a ridiculous amount of space this is inaccessible in the bottom of the hull. Some potential problems are discussed and also fixes. Hope it's useful, cheers, Chris and Tanja
