When it isn't enough, I go back to regular work such as photography, videography or construction, but that takes the focus away from my own projects. - How does your dog fit into this lifestyle? It's really not as difficult as people seem to think. I spend most of the day with Champ anyways, since we enjoy similar things, like eating food and being outdoors. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make decisions about where I go and what I do, so I avoid places that ban dogs, and therefore spend more time in nature instead of in cities. - How do you make it work as a digital nomad? My electrical power set-up allows charging my camera and laptop to film and edit almost daily. For Internet access quick and reliable enough to upload my episodes a few at a time, I use coffee shops and libraries. I also use a data package on my phone (10GB), a WiFi antenna, and a WiFi booster.

So it finally happened . . . We experienced our first storm at sea 8 days into our passage from the Canary Islands to Gibraltar, on route to Turkey. What a hectic new experience and a very challenging 3 days, with very little, or rather no sleep at all. Sisu proved to be a tank, taking everything thrown at her with total ease. Our heads are 4m above sea level when seated and we saw many time breaking waves rushing down to our helm, which meant they were most probably higher than 5m! We lost a couple of lines, our Code D fell into the ocean and our Genoa sheet line snapped. So loads of repairs and replacements at sea. Unfortunately, we could not capture those during the night and the moonlight were good for eyes adapted to night vision, but not for our cameras, not that we were rushing for a camera when those waves hit us :-D Thank you for all our subscribers! The final race of the 2018 Frosties regatta would decide the overall winner of the IRC 1 Class. Going into the final race (race 10) three boats could still win the title with just 1 point separating first from third. GTR had a slight lead but could still loose the title if they late the others get away. The Frosties series at Strangford Lough Yacht club once again proved a highlight of the years racing with close competition in all classes with over 50 boat on the race course each weekend. In this episode, we say goodbye to Lake Bras d’Or and our summer season. We head out for open ocean and make the 250 mile brisk sail to the South Western tip of Nova Scotia to wait for winds to change in our favor before continuing on. It’s a chilly, sporty ride and ends with our arrival into a place that feels the end of the world, with its barren, bleak, but ruggedly beautiful landscape. We have finally made it to DESOLATION SOUND! We stop at the last town on the sunshine coast, Lund and splurge on homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and some delicious coffee! From LUND, we head into Desolation Sound anchoring at TENEDOS BAY. The anchorage here is deep and most spots require a stern tie but wow was it breathtakingly beautiful! Did we mention that there is a huge, warm FRESHWATER LAKE to swim in!!!! And to top it off Desolation Sound is known for their warm ocean water at 70 degrees F. NOT the Miami dolphins. Atlantic spotted dolphins, we think. They didn't actually introduce themselves. Our first day two-handing our boat went well. A few challenges, but that comes with the territory. We were thrilled with our choice of weather windows, and we made better time than we anticipated.

One Year Tankless Water Heater Review and we still love it. After a year of using our tankless water heater, we are going to go over what we think the Pros and Cons are comparing it to a tank water heater. Most of our cons are not really cons to most people, we just like to live as frugal as possible. In this video on our tankless water heater, we go over power usage, maintenance, and things we have noticed in the year of using it. The only thing we have noticed as far as having hot water in our home is that there is a lot more of it. With the hot water this tankless water heater produces comes with things like endless showers, power washing with hot water, hotter water for less electricity for cleaner dishes, and the list goes on.
