settembre 2007 - L'Elan 410 conferma la natura corsaiola di questo cantiere che negli ultimi anni ha iniziato a far parlare sempre più frequentemente di sè. A caratterizzarla sono i bordi liberi molto bassi, la grande ruota del timone centrale e il tughino molto aggressivo. Come tutti gli Elan, anche il 410, è costruito con la tecnica dell'infusione che ne garantisce un'equilibrata distribuzione dei pesi e una notevole solidità. settembre 2007 - Una barca che rispecchia in pieno la terra in cui viene costruita. Il Solent, in Gran Bretagna, famoso oltre che per il suo mare, spesso formato, anche per i bassi fondali. E' nata così la necessità di costruire una barca dalla carena marina, capace di affrontare anche le onde oceaniche, e in grado di destreggiarsi grazie alla deriva mobile tra le secche più insidiose.

maggio 2009 - Proposto in un'unica versione a due cabine armatoriali e un bagno, il Salona 34 presenta un mobilio interno in legno chiaro che aiuta ad aumentare la sensazione di luminosità generale, comunque buona in tutti gli ambienti grazie agli oblò tuga. Gli schienali dei divani in dinette sono trasformabili in due cuccette supplementari.

Molto bella, inoltre, la cabina armatoriale e intelligente la soluzione dei due passauomo ricavati sotto le sedute del pozzetto che garantiscono luce e aria alle due cabine di poppa. Nota negativa: il paiolato avvitato in più punti. In compenso, la grande quantità di botole permette un facile accesso ai vari impianti.

Prova in mare - luglio 2009 - Provato in condizioni di vento leggero e mare piatto, l'Elan 380 ha dimostrato di essere un progetto ben riuscito. Anche in queste condizioni limite per navigare ha raggiunto buone velocità in tutte le andature, non lasciando mai la sensazione di perdere la governabilità. Molto sensibile alle regolazioni delle vele, è dotato di ottime accelerazioni alle uscite delle virate.

Bloody Mary I cant honestly say that I was looking forward to competing in the Bloody Mary. This dinghy pursuit race is the biggest event of the winter calendar in the UK, but it can be a brutal event. The past few weeks, southern England has looked more like Finland, having been covered in thick snow. The difference is that when it snows in Finland, the country doesnt grind to a halt. In the UK, snow brings chaos. It also threatened the cancellation of the 37th Bloody Mary, something that Queen Mary Sailing Club would only ever do as a last resort. Looking at the forecast, under normal circumstances there would have been no way that I would have bothered to get out of bed that Saturday morning. With sub-zero temperatures, and a wind chill from a strong northerly breeze threatening to make a freezing day feel Arctic, the prospect of competing in the Bloody Mary was not my idea of fun.
