This is going to be my second attempt at anchoring overnight. The first attempt was a complete failure! I'm using a Roca 15kg and have a rode composed of 5 meters of 8 mm chain and 50 meters of 16 mm nylon rope. There will be almost no wind (between 1 and 3 m/s). Fingers crossed the anchor will hold. I've set the anchor alarm on my Garmin chartplotter as well as on my iPad. Oh by the way. This is day 13 ;-) http://syobelix.blogspot.dk

What do DOLPHINS, Sir Richard Branson, and the Eagles "Hotel Califonia" have in common..? Absolutely nothing, besides this video... but now you have to watch to find out! :) This is our trip as we finally managed to escape the grips of St Maarten, SXM in the Caribbean. After having been there for over 6 months it was really starting to feel like "Hotel California"... where you can check in, but never check out! Lol After resolving some major issues with the boat, we finally set sail for the British Virgin Islands ( BVI ) about 85 miles away.. set up for a great overnight sail and arrived the next day. Ran into Sir Richard Branson at the dock of Leverick Bay Resort upon arrival, and gave him a lift out to one of his catamarans racing out on North Sound, Virgin Gorda... filmed them racing back to Mosquito Island, then back onboard 'Sophisticated Lady' on route to Trellis Bay to pick up my lovely Regina arriving back from holiday with family in Switzerland!
