On June 3rd 2015 we put our Sailing Dreams on indefinite hold and returned home to wait for our house to sell. 'Saltair 3' waited for us in Fort Lauderdale while we enjoyed the Summer with family and friends back in B.C. The UK’s leading marina operator, MDL Marinas, has signed a six-year deal to become Land Rover BAR’s Official UK Marina Partner. The exciting news sees the MDL group get behind the team – as they compete on home waters for the first time – and join the nation to back Land Rover BAR’s quest to 'Bring the Cup Home'.

Today its an early start for the journey from Burnham Marina on the river Crouch, northwards to the Blackwater and Bradwell Marina. Most people when they make this journey head well off shore to the Whitacker beacon, cut through the Swin Spitway then head back westwards and in shore. This time however we take the inshore route, through the Ray channel.
