This year's thematic event was 'Port & Discoveries' on Mark Twain Lake. This is the video I put together to be played at our Annual Award Dinner. The event itself is a lot of zany fun with good food and sailing friends. The video is segmented into a number of sections--the first bit is just a silly newsreel in the style of Hollywood PSA newreels played before movies. Songs heard are songs I purchased online and added for entertainment enhancement and not for any sort of monetary gain.

Awesome lightning over the Mt. Yasur volcano on Tanna Island in Vanuatu the night before we set sail for New Caledonia. We stop as a ship in transit in several locations before we clear in through Customs and Immigration in Noumea.

We had a fantastic time in Noumea, the museum, the aquarium and meeting new people were just some of the highlights of our stay. Just as we were about to start our last passage to Australia, I ended up spending 5 days in hospital. For all of this plus more, watch the video

This is the final passage of our journey from Europe to Australia. This is a very emotional homecoming for us, it took 4 years and 4 months for us to complete what we set out to do.

We head to Fajardo, Puerto Rico to look at a 2004 Grand Soleil GS 50 sailboat. The 2001-2007 GS 50s are Judel/Vrolijk designed, and have naturally beautiful lines. Slight changes were made starting in 2008, and the boats were produced until 2013. A new Botin and Carkeek designed GS 50 was introduced in 2014.

First week of the Vendée Globe 2016 The Vendée Globe is a sailing race around the world and nonstop singlehanded. Skipper sails around the world from west to east via the three major capes of Good Hope, Leeuwin and the Horn. There is a long slide down the Atlantic, the perilous voyage across the Southern Ocean with firstly the Indian Ocean and its crossed seas, then the Pacific Ocean, the world’s biggest ocean. Snorkelling around in the gorgeous waterworld bay close to Bayheau, south of St Vincent. We wanted to do the snorkelling going through the bat cave here, where a rare specious of bats are living. The swell was to much however and therefore we snorkelled around this cave where we made this reef snorkelling video. As you can see this reef is of a dreamlike beauty with such a variety of colours and fish. It's also the first video we made with this little underwater camera. Enjoy the ride!!

There's nothing quite like watching a bikini babe bathing herself in a bucket. Oh - the rare treats we experience when living on a sailboat. Morning breaks, and we breathe a collective sigh of relief... we've survived the night-long onslaught of a billion unidentifiable, nocturnal flying insects. After counting her lucky stars, Tambi dons her skimpiest bikini and submerges her head in a bucket of lukewarm water in an attempt to cleanse her fabulously dirty hair. Oh, the subtle joys of boat living! Later on, we stretch our legs as we explore a seldom-visited island whose only inhabitants are a carnivorous herd of man-eating ponies. Yes, you read it right - these bloodthirsty pintos have acquired an insatiable taste for human flesh. Naturally, we tread lightly during this foolhardy excursion as we tread deeper into the heart of Carrot Island.
