The next day, we go on a hike across San Miguel with the ranger, learning about the habitat and a petrified forest along the way. Arriving at Point Bennett, we take in one of the largest Sea Lion rookeries in the world and watch young sea lions play on beach. Skipper sails around the world from west to east via the three major capes of Good Hope, Leeuwin and the Horn. Sailing around the Greek Cyclades Islands this year has been amazing, what we hadn't counted on was the relentlessly high 35 to 40 knot winds! In this episode we make the difficult decision to abandon our original route, and head out of this channel of turbulent weather. After enjoying the beautiful Island of Folegandros, we make our way East back to Ios to find shelter. Wrong .... Zoe our trusty tender is overturned, and the engine submersed in even higher gusts. For the second event of the season the GC32 Racing Tour moves further south on lake Garda and joins the Fraglia Vela Malcesine during the Foiling Week.
