This week we finished a "big loop" sailing around the Saint Martin. We visited Simpson bay on a Dutch side and figured out that anchorages (along all Dutch side) are not free. We also we able to contact a person who can fix our auto pilot and made an appointment with him. We are happy to come back to the French side for many personal reasons. So, we can stock up on a food and start planning our future long navigation. We are an international couple - Jack (from France), Kateryna (from Ukraine). We have been crossing this wonderful life together since 10 years. Finally (after many years of dreaming) we are living a "true" life. We have a plan to sail across all oceans (almost), and will be happy to share this adventurous lifestyle with you! Cooking in a Nutshell - Pumpkin, Leak and Spinach Quiche This is a simple recipe which I often make as it is easy to do in a narrowboat kitchen because it only uses the gas oven and hob. Great hot or cold served with a fresh green salad. You can vary this recipe by using grated cheddar and sour cream instead of the ricotta and swapping in your choice of vegetables. Broccoli, pumpkin, sundried tomatoes and onion are delicious too. A smattering of grated fresh parmesan on the top before serving is lovely. I sometimes vary the seasonings to spice it up a bit. Michael Coxon, Dave O’Conner and Trent Barnabas of Thurlow Fisher Lawyers were crowned 18ft Skiff Australian Champions today after sailing a faultless race on Sydney Harbour. The trio led the final heat of the championship from the start line and finished almost four minutes ahead of second place. The NNE breeze challenged the teams as they saw everything from 4-15 knots. With half the fleet using their big rigs and half the fleet on small rigs, there was plenty of action around the racecourse.
