In 2018 until we decided to focus on our project sailing TELLUS (Latin word meaning “Earth”). We had the chance to visit and live in many beautiful countries including China, Hongkong, Thailand, Romania, Lithuania and France with our previous jobs, that made us realize how fast the world is changing and how fast the life is going and there is no “later” than “now” for the project we have in mind. In early 2019 we took a one-week sailing courses that opened our eyes of new ways of travelling and changed our life style. In June 2020, we decided to sell everything we own, house, car and lot of stuff that we do not need anymore so that we can buy a sailboat and go for an undetermined voyage around the globe. This time on Kawai we farewell Jase's parents however receive some new crew Damien (Richo) and Nicole also from Australia. We experience one last day trip with Jase’s parents as we sail to ‘Lady of the rocks’ near Perast from Kotor before they must depart and continue their travels. Lady of the rocks in usually only visited by small boat from Perast but we park Kawai in the 'bay of Kotor' and visit by tender. After Rod and Cath leave we head to a new anchorage Uvala Sutvara which is perfect for relaxation and is a perfect spot to keep Kawai. We finally get some great weather and plenty of sun which allows Trace and I to swim and bake. Richo and Nicole arrive in Kotor so we sail back and pick them up and celebrate. It’s not long however before we climb the ladder of Kotor and St John Fortress. The ladder of Kotor has stunning views over the ‘Bay of Kotor’ and once you reach the summit you have views as far as Croatia and Tivet unfortunately the clouds spoiled the view. We also take Damien and Nicole out for their first sail from Kotor, which they enjoy, sailing up through the mountainous bay past Perast and Lady of the rocks for a swim before anchoring in Risan. Unfortunately the time for Damien and Nicole comes to an end and we sail back to Kotor for some sailing cards fun before they continue their travel through Europe. About us: Our names are Jason and Tracey and we traded our house, cars, business, job and security for freedom, adventure, travel and living simply amongst nature and the seas on our 45 foot Hanse 445 sailing boat, Kawai. We don't know exactly where the winds will take us at this stage but over the next year we hope to sail to Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Canary Islands and then across the Atlantic Ocean. The 10th annual Herrington Harbour Sailing Association’s Women’s Regatta 2019 was sailed on Herring Bay with a record number of attendants. The top three boats in the Spinnaker Division were Eunice Lin driving Delirium a J33. In second was Christine Compton’s Tartan 10 Artemis II with me at the tiller. close behind Emily Manders driving her Beneteau 36.7 Jubilee. In the Nonspin class, Bev Wright on Whoosh took third, Margaret Stuart driving Amara, a J100 and in first, Team Diva II with Andrea Heintzelman at the wheel. Women from all over the bay are encouraged to check out the women’s programming on the HHSA website and attend the event in 2020! Congratulations to everyone participating. I know I had a marvelous time and already hope to be back next year.

The Bay of Cadiz served up a challenging light, hard-to-read seabreeze for the first day of the Puerto Sherry 52 SUPER SERIES Royal Cup, but Ergin Imre’s Provezza team proved to be the most adept at deciphering a race arena, which is entirely new to the circuit and lead overall after a first and fourth place. n fact, the left side of the course and the pin end of the start line offered an early advantage in both races. With Hamish Pepper calling tactics for helm John Cutler working with navigator Nacho Postigo, Provezza started nicely and were never challenged in the first race. A copy-paste strategy worked for Azzurra in the second race, which they won comfortably and these are the top two teams in the pursuit of the historic Royal Cup. In both races the fleet split either side of the track. Provezza and the new Bronenosec led at the top mark of the first race, which was sailed in about eight knots of wind, both emerging from the favoured left. But, proving that there was no dominant feature, and the wind was moving all the time, Andy Horton and Kelvin Harrap recognised a nice shift and change of pressure at the leeward gate. Hooking in to the right shift they got themselves up from third to second. Azzurra, fifth in the first race dominated the second race from half way up the beat, while Alegre proved unable to add a second result. They were over the start line at the gun and had to re-cross and could only finish eighth. It was not such a good day for some of the big guns. Defending 2018 champions Quantum Racing made an unconvincing start with a pair of seventh places, which sees them finish their first day uncharacteristically on the bottom of the standings. Joanna shot to fame in 2017 when she broke records becoming the first independent artist to go straight to Number 1 in the Official Classical Album Charts with a debut album, "Stars Are Rising".
