After a couple weeks without hot water, we finally get a new generator and make major improvements to our battery bank and electrical system aboard our 50-foot Royal Cape catamaran. With our new setup, we can finally enjoy hot showers, better power reliability, and quieter nights at anchor. Along the way, we also upgrade our bus bars to handle higher current, fix an air leak in our paddleboard, and enjoy fishing from the back of the boat with the kids — a rare calm moment between refit projects. Si tratta del **contenitore del radar nautico**, uno strumento fondamentale per la sicurezza in mare. In questo episodio di *Nautica in Pillole*, insieme a **Marco di Neomarin**, tecnico installatore di sistemi Raymarine, scopriamo nel dettaglio **cos'è un radar nautico, a cosa serve, come funziona e perché può fare la differenza durante la navigazione**. ### A cosa serve il radar nautico? Il **radar nautico** è nato per rilevare ostacoli e altre imbarcazioni in condizioni di **scarsa visibilità**, come nebbia o notte, ma oggi ha molte altre funzioni: * Identifica oggetti galleggianti, anche container persi in mare * Rileva isole, porti e coste * Individua **perturbazioni atmosferiche** in arrivo (funzione meteo) * Calcola **rotte di collisione** con altre imbarcazioni * Interagisce con **GPS, AIS e autopilota**, migliorando la navigazione ### Anche le barche piccole possono montare un radar? Sì, è possibile installare un radar anche su **barche di 6-7 metri**, soprattutto se si naviga in zone ad alto traffico, con frequente nebbia o condizioni meteo variabili.
