During our visit to Portland Marina, we had the privilege of crossing paths with Danny the Dolphin. It was an extraordinary experience to witness this majestic creature in his natural habitat. We were fortunate to capture stunning footage of Danny playfully interacting with two children as they explored the marina in their inflatable dinghy. The joy and wonder in their faces mirrored our own as we witnessed this enchanting connection between humans and a wild animal. Tragically, in 2020, Danny's journey came to a heartbreaking end, most likely due to a collision with a boat. Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to this remarkable being who brought so much joy and fascination to those who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Danny. Sailing's not all about constant action. In fact, a lot of the time it can be pretty boring. So, in this episode, we try to show a brief glimpse of how we fill the time in those moments between needing to actively sail the boat. We leave the Atlantic side of the Outer Hebrides and make our way back through the sound of Harris and down to the Isle of Barra. After making a quick stop to re-provision, we set sail again and headed down to the small island of Staffa. Here, we venture into the majestic Fingal's cave in our little dinghy and capture some great drone footage of the island just before sunset. The sailing continues the following day through the sound of Iona and back towards mainland Scotland.
