This is bluewater cruising — unpredictable, demanding, and incredibly rewarding. Join us as our liveaboard sailing journey continues toward the 2nd largest barrier reef. Mark's only wish for his 20-year work anniversary… was to be with me. But I've been solo sailing around the world for over 1,000 days. So his colleagues secretly flew me home as a surprise. No one knew — not even our son Sem. On the evening of his party, they played this song… and we were reunited. It felt like a real-life episode of 'All You Need Is Love' — with happy tears everywhere. I feel so blessed. Thank you, Xebia, for making this magic possible. ❤️ #SailingLoveworkx #CarryingMeHome #SoloSailing #Surprise #1000DaysAtSea

I parted ways with half of my buddy boats as I head to an island I have been to before, exploring a new pass this time. However, it's summer.. and the squalls don't give us a break this week! We squeeze in as many activities as we can in between each little storm! The 100 feet (l.o.a. 32.3 meter) Neorion is a timeless proven aluminium sailing yacht, built by Bloemsma, after a design by Horst Stichnoth. She has been finished in 2014, under the supervision of Olivier van Meer in the Netherlands. The superstructure and cockpit and many other wooden details on deck has been built in teak by Dörr-Lemmer in unique craftsmanship. The interior woodwork is built in mahagony and she is equipped with airco and heating systems. She offers a spacious and practical lay-out with one full beam owners cabin and two guest cabins all with ensuite bathroom (total of 6 guests). The spacious saloon (next to the galley) offers a nice dining table and separated seating area together with a navigation/working desk. A unique made skylight offers plenty of daylight coming into this saloon/dining area. In the foreship is one crew cabin (2 beds) with pantry accessible from deck. The deck saloon offers a nice sofa with panoramic views and a navigation station. Her deck lay-out offers a spacious seating with dining table covered by a solid stainless steel frame with canvas for sun protection. The yacht can easily by sailed from the separate steering position as all (furl) sails are hydraulicly operated. Also the bow thruster, anchor winches, tender davit are all hydraulicly operated. She is a truly proven oceanic ocean going schooner as she did a full circumnavigation under all weather conditions. The yacht is easily sailed during various sea states with a relative small crew. Discover the more shallow bays as Neorion is equipped with a centerboard that reduced her depth to 2.7 meter. Fully equipped and well looked after, she is the ideal yacht for those who prefer a classic styled yacht that is easily operated but also performs well under sail and build in truly Dutch craftsmanship. There's something really nice about an early morning boat ride, when the sun is shining and the winds are low. Located Right next to Beusoleil, the Gin Islands are just two of 63 islands that make up the Georgian Bay Islands National Park. Well known to Aboriginal peoples as a bad weather refuge and stopping place, Beausoleil was used as a base for hunting and trading as far back as 7,000 years ago! Early voyageurs marked it as a midpoint on their travels between the Severn River and north Georgian Bay. Today it's a great recreational boating destination, with incredible views. Just be careful getting in. As always on Georgian Bay, there are plenty of rocks around!

Collective Punishment is a literal War Crime. Therefore, we're sailing to Cuba with food, medicine and/or electrical equipment as part of the Nuestra America Flotilla. Help us directly by donating: https://wise.com/pay/me/justinej43 or https://www.paypal.me/sailorama Depending on how much money we raise, we will be purchasing cost-effective basics such as beans, rice, powdered milk, or other proteins and carbohydrates. A larger amount raised would mean being able to purchase much needed medicines such as analgesics and antihistamines. A third, larger level of funds could mean purchasing equipment for solar installations, the same self-sustaining system that we live off of every day aboard our vessel. Thank you, and looking forward to sharing the journey with you all! #nuestraamericaflotilla #nuestraamericaconvoy #cuba #sailing #travel #ocean

Two families, one shared passion for boating. For over 60 years, Viking Yachts has lived by a simple mantra: "Build a better boat every day." What resonates between Short Marine and the Healey Family is the same passion for boating. Both are third-generation, family-owned businesses that believe in creating unforgettable experiences on the water without compromise.

Thomas Coville and his team aboard the foiling Ultim trimaran Sodebo-3 have set a new non-stop record around the world and in doing so has taken the Jules Verne Trophy. The team's new record pace takes over 12 hours off the previous record and yet impressive though it is, the achievement represents a great deal more. In the closing stages severe weather came close to derailing the campaign and put huge amounts of pressure on the team. Since the record was set in 2017 there have been 13 unsuccessful attempts at beating it, Coville accounted for three of them, that's how hard this record is to achieve and why Coville's success is seen as such a major achievement. But still there is more to this Jules Verne season - This is a story of not one but two campaigns. The second trimaran, IDEC Sport had set the previous record and now known as The Famous Project, was attempting its own non-stop lap. If successful they too would enter the record books as the first ever all women crew to complete a non-stop lap pf the planet. But they too were facing a serious dilemma as to how best to handle the weather that was threatening to block their path at best and derail their entire campaign at worst. So, in part 3 of our Jules Verne coverage we look at how the final stages of the two Jules Verne attempts played out. Sodebo 3 - Crew Thomas Coville - skipper Benjamin Schwartz - co skipper Frédéric Denis Pierre Leboucher Léonard Legrand Guillaume Pirouelle Nicolas Troussel New Record time: 40 days, 10 hours, 45 minutes and 50 seconds

This week I had a close call with a log splitter and nearly lost my finger while working in our woodland. I’ll show the injury later in the video for those who are morbidly curious. After that scare, the week took an unexpected turn. My wife found an acorn with a root already wriggling out while on a walk and decided to see if it would grow. It did. That small moment sparked a much bigger idea — to start collecting, testing, and germinating native tree seeds so we can grow and plant our own trees here in the woodland. In this video I talk about the accident, reflect on slowing down, and then jump into the thick of seed hunting as we search for acorns and other native seeds to grow oak, hazel, and sweet chestnut for the future of the land. This channel documents our British woodland life, traditional skills, forestry, tree planting, and the quiet process of building something long-term for our family. If you’d like to support our filmmaking and woodland projects: Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/sailingcadoha Take care of your hands — and thanks for watching.
