Welcome back to another episode of WE|Sail. In this episode, Warren tackles one of the biggest upgrades we've done on the boat, rewiring our entire nav panel, the brain of our electrical system. But living on a boat means your home is also your workshop. The salon becomes a wiring station, tools take over every surface, and there's no escape from the chaos until the job is done. Despite the temporary mess I have to live in, the guy does really amazing work. He's a jack of all trades, and honestly? I'm lucky to have him constantly making our home better and better. His skills are top notch. It's just the name of the game living on a boat—your home is the workshop until the job's done. And then... one component didn't work. Three weeks later, we're still waiting for the replacement part. So while we waited, we did what we do best...explored! Dingy adventures with black tip reef sharks, climbing trees for coconuts, unauthorized beaches (oops), and beach bonfires with friends. Because sitting around staring at a broken panel? Not really our style. This is boat life. Projects don't always go as planned, but the adventures make up for it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ⚓ Thanks for watching! Wait for the lighthouse at the end… it’s worth it Join us as our Scotland road trip continues from the NC500 towards the Isle of Skye — and what a journey it’s been! After leaving earlier in the week, we make our way through some of the most remote and breathtaking parts of the Scottish Highlands. From dramatic skies and endless landscapes to 50mph winds that kept us awake all night, this leg of the trip really tested us. We pass through incredible scenery near Kylesku Bridge, encounter wild stags on the road, and even catch a double rainbow before finally approaching Skye. Along the way, we discover a stunning waterfall — one we’ll be exploring properly in our next video. 🌊 And to finish… we head to a remote lighthouse on the Isle of Skye, where the last few minutes of this video turn into a cinematic drone sequence you won’t want to miss. 👉 Highlights: • Wild Highland weather & dramatic skies • Sleepless night in strong winds • Close encounter with wild stags • Double rainbow over the mountains • First glimpse of Skye • Cinematic lighthouse drone footage finale 👉 Let us know in the comments: Have you done the NC500 or visited Skye? 👍 Like, subscribe, and join us as we continue exploring the UK at our own pace. #Scotland #NC500 #IsleOfSkye #ScottishHighlands #RoadTripUK #VanLifeUK #DroneFootage #TravelVlog #ExploreScotland #Skye

The PERFECT Marex!? | Marex 390 | Full Walkthrough | The Marine Channel In this video, we take a closer look at the Marex 390, a Scandinavian family cruiser that encompasses all of the best parts of Marex design. Intended to deliver practicality, usability, and comfort in a manageable 12-metre package. We begin on deck, where the layout focuses on smart, real-world usability. The cockpit and aft deck are designed as proper living spaces rather than just transitional areas, with clever storage solutions and flexible seating throughout. Wide side decks and easy access around the boat make it well-suited to owner-operators and short-handed cruising. Underneath, the Marex 390 features a refined variable-V hull, designed to balance efficiency, stability, and performance. With top speeds of around 30 knots and predictable low-speed handling—helped by joystick controls and optional thrusters—the boat is built to be both enjoyable underway and easy to manage in tight spaces. Heading inside, the focus remains on practicality and comfort. The saloon connects seamlessly with the cockpit, creating a versatile indoor-outdoor space, while below deck, the two-cabin layout makes full use of the available volume. Throughout the boat, the emphasis is on thoughtful design details, owner feedback, and everyday usability rather than unnecessary complexity. If you enjoy detailed yacht and boat tours, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications for more marine content.

This week, we’re heading to the United Arab Emirates, home of this episode’s featured yacht—the stunning Portofino 52. Join us as we explore its features, compare it with other vessels, and dive into a celebration of maritime culture, art, and wine. Here's what’s coming up: What’s On Deck: 1. Portofino 52 Deep Dive: We’ll review the specifications, pricing, and layout of the Portofino 52, comparing it against three similar yachts to see how it stacks up. 2. A Full Yacht Tour: Let’s explore every detail, inside and out, with our signature “What would Sylvia say?” evaluation. 3. Tech Spotlight – SEAFLO Dry Bilge System: This week’s innovation is the SEAFLO Dry Bilge System, designed to keep your bilge completely dry and your yacht in pristine condition. 4. Used Yacht Market Analysis: We'll review 3–5-year-old comparable models to understand resale value and market trends. 5. The Dave Score: After an in-depth review, we’ll assign the Portofino 52 its official Dave Score and rank it among previously featured yachts. Waves, Wine, and Art: This episode is about more than just yachts. We’re celebrating the culture and artistry of the regions that bring these vessels to life. • Wine of the Week: From Italy, we highlight the Conterno Fantino Barbera d'Alba Vignota 2018. This exceptional organic wine is known for its rich flavors of sour cherry, cassis, and tart cranberry, earning a stellar 93 points from The Wine Advocate. A true reflection of its Monforte d’Alba roots! • Art of the Region: We feature Chapeau! (2024), an exquisite acrylic-on-linen painting by Claire Denarie-Soffiettis. This vibrant piece captures the spirit of adventure and creativity, much like the yachts we love. Innovation Spotlight: SEAFLO Dry Bilge System Keeping your bilge dry is now easier than ever with SEAFLO’s patent-pending Dry Bilge System. Traditional bilge pumps leave behind water, leading to issues like mold and odor. The SEAFLO system removes all standing water, enhances your yacht’s integrity, and extends the life of pumps and switches. Self-priming up to 25 feet and easy to operate, it’s a must-have for any yacht owner. Join the Naval Gazing Crew! Love what you’re seeing? • Subscribe! Thomas Coville and his team aboard the foiling Ultim trimaran Sodebo-3 have set a new non-stop record around the world and in doing so has taken the Jules Verne Trophy. The team's new record pace takes over 12 hours off the previous record and yet impressive though it is, the achievement represents a great deal more. In the closing stages severe weather came close to derailing the campaign and put huge amounts of pressure on the team. Since the record was set in 2017 there have been 13 unsuccessful attempts at beating it, Coville accounted for three of them, that's how hard this record is to achieve and why Coville's success is seen as such a major achievement. But still there is more to this Jules Verne season - This is a story of not one but two campaigns. The second trimaran, IDEC Sport had set the previous record and now known as The Famous Project, was attempting its own non-stop lap. If successful they too would enter the record books as the first ever all women crew to complete a non-stop lap pf the planet. But they too were facing a serious dilemma as to how best to handle the weather that was threatening to block their path at best and derail their entire campaign at worst. So, in part 3 of our Jules Verne coverage we look at how the final stages of the two Jules Verne attempts played out. Sodebo 3 - Crew Thomas Coville - skipper Benjamin Schwartz - co skipper Frédéric Denis Pierre Leboucher Léonard Legrand Guillaume Pirouelle Nicolas Troussel New Record time: 40 days, 10 hours, 45 minutes and 50 seconds

4. Distraiti e resta attivo Fare qualcosa in barca aiuta il cervello a concentrarsi e riduce il disagio. 5. We island hop through the Caribbean! After crossing the Atlantic Ocean, we reunite with friends in St Lucia, visit an inflatable water park, and enjoy some well-deserved fun. With just a few days to rest, we set sail again—heading toward St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Along the way, we respond to a distress call (that turns out to be a false alarm), and sail past the breathtaking Pitons. In Bequia, we soak in the charm of the colourful streets, sip fresh passion fruit juice, and grab long-awaited coconuts. After giving away our plastic bottles from the crossing, we cool off with a swim and spot an eagle ray before heading to the magical Tobago Cays. There, we snorkel in crystal-clear water, hike above the anchorage, and search for sea turtles. The kids get a sailing lesson on a mini-cat, and we attempt a dinghy ride to a beach we call Rum Island—but Mother Nature had other plans. After exploring iguana-filled rocks and visiting the Pirates of the Caribbean filming site in Wallilabou, we make our way to Martinique for beach days, a floating DJ party, and one unexpected visitor… It’s another wild and wonderful chapter in our floating family adventure.

A peaceful but powerful sail along Long Island, Bahamas. In this episode, I leave Clarence Town and sail north along the entire length of Long Island to Calabash Bay — about 45 nautical miles of changing winds, currents, and open water. With steady following winds reaching 25–27 knots, the boat settles into her rhythm. Autopilot locked on waypoints, sails trimmed, generator running, water being made — sometimes it’s best to just let the boat work and enjoy the journey. The weather is shifting. Cooler air from the north, darker skies, and a stronger system coming in a couple of days. Choosing the right anchorage becomes important — protection matters out here. Along the way, I reflect on: Route planning and navigation Wind and sail decisions Life aboard during longer passages Upcoming plans for the Exumas and George Town No rush. No drama. Just honest sailing in the Bahamas. If you enjoy real sailing, thoughtful navigation, and life at sea — you’re in the right place. 🌊⛵

Boat tour of the Swedish sailing ship ELIDA. English subtitles available soon.
