Wir haben lange gezögert, ehe wir uns Starlink an Bord geholt haben - das satellitengestützte Internet von Elon Musk. Zum einen waren da die hohen Kosten, die unterschiedlichen Tarife und die kruden Ankündigungen des Unternehmens mit immer neuen Regulierungen. Zum anderen der hohe Stromverbrauch der Anlage. Das neueste Modell, die Starlink-Mini, speziell konzipiert für die Reise, bändigt nach Herstellerangaben zumindest den Energiefraß. Zudem läuft die transportable Schüssel mit Gleichstrom. Wer allerdings glaubt, er könne die Mini einfach an seine Bordbatterie anschließen, der täuscht sich - so, wie wir es getan haben.
