We are Easy Day Adventures, a family of four taking one adventure at a time. In this video series we are pointing North to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to go swimming up in the Arctic Ocean. Why? Because its there. Plus, it will make a great adventure for our growing boys who are learning how to dream BIG. Why not come along for the ride? Sometimes we live on our sailboat, other time we explore Terra Firma with our OVRLND rig. Either way, its always an adventure! In this video we cross the border from British Columbia to Alaska. The scale of the mountains begins to grow and we take the opportunity to spend two days in Skagway, Alaska before taking the ferry to Juneau. In Skagway we explore the town, take care of errands, and visit the Dyea Flats. The flats were spectacular because it gave us an open view of the water and surrounding mountains. We only wish we had spent more time boondocking. Our ferry ride to Juneau held a bit of a surprise. About 2 hours into the voyage, we received notification of a huge earthquake near the Kamchatca peninsula in Russia. There was even a Tsunami watch issued for our area. With 5 hours left in our transit it did cause a bit of concern but shortly after the watch was lifted for our area. We arrived in Juneau around 10:30pm that evening. In Juneau we settled in at the Mendenhall Campground for five days. This was our basecamp to explore the Mendenhall Glacier, Nugget Falls, and Eagle Beach. We hope you enjoy.

En nous promenant dans les ruelles de la ville, nous avons découvert des bâtiments anciens, des églises baroques et des marchés locaux où l’on pouvait goûter aux délices maltais. Découverte de Blue Lagoon, situé sur l’île de Comino. Cet endroit est tout simplement magique, avec ses eaux turquoise qui ressemblent à un paradis tropical. Nous avons jeté l’ancre à Dwerja, un site spectaculaire connu pour ses paysages à couper le souffle. La mer y est d’un bleu profond, et les formations rocheuses créent un cadre parfait pour la baignade et la plongée. Nous avons exploré la célèbre fenêtre d’Azur, une arche naturelle qui semble presque irréelle. C’était un véritable spectacle de la nature, Nous avons terminé notre séjour par une visite de La Valette, la capitale de Malte. Cette ville historique, classée au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO, est un véritable trésor d’architecture et d’histoire. Nous avons flâné dans ses ruelles étroites, admirant les façades colorées des bâtiments et les impressionnantes fortifications. A quick check after rowing out to Wahine. No water flowing from the engine is never a good sign, so I pulled the impeller plate to inspect it for damage. A bit of crud inside, but the impeller itself looked fine. While I was there, I cleaned the starter and related components to make sure everything was working as it should. Reassembled, crossed fingers… and the engine fired up with water flowing normally again. ► A Small Spot for Multihulls in Miami! ► The 2026 edition of the Miami International Boat Show got off to a flying start. Under brilliant sunshine, I handed out all my Multihull of the Year stickers and banners — much to the delight of the builders present. Of the 36 nominees this year, 18 had made the trip, giving this new edition strong visibility from day one. ► As is often the case in Miami, the show layout has changed once again. This year, sailing multihulls were grouped together at Sailors’ Cove, at the IGY Marina on McArthur Causeway. This is now where you’ll find the main players in the sailing industry… even if they were fewer in number than in previous years. In just 30 minutes, my dock walk was complete. ► Those who did attend, however, came in force. @FountainePajot took the front line with four boats on display — including the new FP44 — along with two Dufour models, the only sailing monohulls at the show. @LeopardCatamaran, @BaliCatamarans (with three models), @EXCESSCatamarans (the 11 and the 13) completed the line-up among the major brands. Other notable appearances included the world premiere of the @aquilaboats 50 Sail, the striking @balancecatamarans 502 delivered straight from South Africa, as well as HeySea, @ChantierCATANA @HHCatamarans, @catamaransOutremer and @visionyachts_sa. On the charter side, the usual key players were present: @TheMooringsCharters @SunsailHolidays @DreamYachtWorldwide, @NavigareYachting2001 and @waypointcharter9109. ► After a particularly smooth and efficient shuttle transfer — worth mentioning, as that hasn’t always been the case in Miami — I headed to Collins Avenue to explore the power multihulls. Unfortunately, they are neither numerous nor grouped together in this section of the show, meaning a fair amount of walking is required. Still, the visit was worthwhile, with the new Aventura 38 MY, the TH33 now showcased on the @JeanneauOfficiel stand and a refreshed Leopard 53PC (videos coming soon). While the selection of powercats on Collins remains limited, major players such as Aquila, @SUNREEFYACHTSOFFICIAL, Yot, @prestigeyacht4386, @canadosyachts1805 , Moon Yachts and @WamaYachts were also on display. ► Meanwhile, the Convention Center was buzzing on opening day, particularly in the center console segment. A few catamarans, including WorldCat and Caymas showcased sleek and sporty lines. Surnommée “La Vieille Dame”, la Soufrière est le point culminant des Petites Antilles, culminant à 1 467 mètres. Ce volcan actif a marqué l’histoire de l’île, notamment lors de l’éruption de 1976. Entre fumerolles, paysages volcaniques impressionnants et panoramas exceptionnels, l’expérience est unique. Après l’effort, place au plaisir !
